with sorkin writing the script too and pascal attached as producer, this looks quite promising-- especially if they cast it well. way higher hopes for this than "rounders 2".
Aaron Sorkin is set to step behind the camera for the first time, to adapt the memoir Molly’s Game, about a former skier who wound up managing the world’s most exclusive poker game. According to Deadline, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of The Social Network will work alongside ex-Sony head Amy Pascal as producer. Sorkin will also write the script.
I feel like dan belzarian will make a cameo as himself naturally. Probably other cheesy dudes like andrew robel too this movie will only be good based on how gritty it is, but if its just another wolf of wal street with people boozing and taking drugs every scene with basically no story line ill pass.

Waiting for this scene, Ben Affleck sits down at the poker table and everyone is quiet. To break the tension Rick Salomon asks, "Hey was Jennifer Lopez's ass nice or was it like cellulite?"
This story has the potential to do great harm against the fight to license and regulate online poker in new markets - in particular the state of California. It is not a glamorous poker story, instead it may make us look like degenerates - something that politicians may use against us.

Riiiiiiiight. The uproar after Mississippi Grind confirms this.
I read the book it was meh. Aaron Sorkin is an excellent writer but I think he's only doing this project because he's doing the author.

How exactly would an Aaron Sorkin movie about an attractive young woman running a high-stakes poker game for A-List movie stars somehow affect online poker regulation?
Am watching the Golden Globes on tv, and Aaron Sorkin won an award for his Steve Jobs screenplay. It seems like a lot of us work tends to be very well received?
It'll be interesting to see who gets cast for this movie
Critics love Sorkin because of his high brow dialog heavy scenes, but his work is hit or miss with audiences.
"Steve Jobs" was a bomb. Sorkin somehow couldn't make the man and his life interesting enough so he merged a bunch of events/people together to create a movie about a guy who was sort of like Steve Jobs.
