Re: "9 high like a boss" aka "Check your privilege"
Imagine how hard it must have been for Kassouf to react the way he did after that huge cooler, take it all in stride and go shake everyone's hand in a friendly manner after they were all ripping on him the whole time. He was annoying at the worst but a few other people, Benger especially, made a total ass of themselves
Re: "9 high like a boss" aka "Check your privilege"
Exploiting loopholes, bending the rules, developing catch-phrases when rubbing a bluff in the face of another player for television is entertaining and too advanced for the rules of the WSOP but not shaking hands with the rule-bending, show-off a-hole is appalling after putting up with his **** for 7 days.
Sorry, but Kassouf's interview just confirms he is a narcissistic a-hole.
Re: "9 high like a boss" aka "Check your privilege"
He's right about needing a rules change. Why is it so difficult to set up a shot clock. 30 seconds and you get maybe two or three one minute tank addons. People just take the piss otherwise.
Re: "9 high like a boss" aka "Check your privilege"
There's so much to pick up on in that interview. He's clearly deluded.
1. He was asked about his tanking. He tried to justify it by saying it was day 7 and they were playing for $8M. 5 minutes later he is asked if he plays like that all the time, from level 1. He says yes. Which is it? (having played with him in London, I know it's the latter).
2. He tries to claim he is being singled out. He cites the Matusow/Sheikhan hand in the ME when they had their blowup, claiming they weren't penalised because they were big names. They BOTH got penalties.

big lol @ gordon vayo, this pansy sunran the last 2 eps like none other yet he cant stop complaining, bad mouthing kassouf, all the while high-fiving his buddies still left at the table. **** this guy.
and Newinski, man this little weasel.. How can you refuse to shake his hand after the guy got coolered in such a fashion. esp. after he tanked to help u ladder up u douche
To quote the great Nick Diaz, "Where I come from, ppl like that get slapped"
This. The **** about how his life won't change and then his reaction when he won the hand just made me cringe so hard. Obviously Kassouf's excessive tanking is a joke (and people should call the clock often) but the way Benger acted, especially as a pro, is just painful. On top of that, the other players at the table just sum up why the Brits have so much more class than the yanks/Canadians.
Re: "9 high like a boss" aka "Check your privilege"
In hindsight, no one really comes out of this looking great.
If you're ok with incessant talking after putting someone allin, then you have to be OK with being slowrolled. Slowrolling isn't against the rules, is it? If not, I don't understand why people don't do it then. You'd cause opponents to go on massive tilt & gain a huge advantage in a situation where you're playing for life-changing amounts of money.
Pretty sure I saw him saying things during multiway pots too.
Kassouf wasn't being out of line at all. It's pure coincidence that every player at his table, the tournament director, & the TV commentators, all couldn't stand him by the end.
