Re: "9 high like a boss"

A 7 minute slow roll would have been funny in Kausouf's bust out hand.

I laughed pretty hard as he sweats a cooler so hard. This getting up from the table nonsense is worse than the boss man.

What a headline... $27,800,000 pot.... ESPN also had an article about it on the mobile front page I saw.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

The majority of this thread:

One guy with no self-awareness acts like an annoying ******* for a week, and has been slowing down the game with his incessant tanking, he is asked numerous times to be respectful and refuses to admit he is doing anything wrong:

"OMFG HE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO HILARIOUS, GOOD FOR ME THE GAME! I WISH EVERYONE WAS LIKE THIS AT THE POKER TABLE, I WOULD ENJOY POKER SO MUCH MORE!!!!!"

The rest of the table, finally fed up with his childish, narcissistic behavior finally snaps back at him.

"OMFG, HOW COULD THEY POSSIBLY DO THAT???? HE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DESERVE THAT HOW DARE THEY??? WHAT JERKS???"

It's tough to really get upset with people who stereotype poker players negatively, when 90% of a poker forum are taking the side of an obvious moron.

I guess its easier to relate to a like-minded, self-centered, delusional brat, than established players who are more successful than most post of these posters will ever be put together.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

^Spot on

A lot of it probably comes down to this forum consisting mainly of teenagers who think they're oh so cool and edgy for calling out "SJWs". The ones who think provoking people for no reason is awesome and should be allowed, but calling somebody out for doing it should not be allowed.

LOL seriously!

I'm surprised he didn't tell Jack Effel he'd had enough Triggers and Microaggressions and wanted a Safe Space near the Amazon Room.

Comments like that are exactly why the rest of the table are getting flack. Like Will's tanking (which isn't at all ok), there is no place for that in poker. The condescending attitudes of people towards obvious fun players is ridiculous.

Serious question, if he was clucking without tanking so much, would it be a huge deal? His personality, outside of the tanking, is great to get other not so good players into the game, which is what everyone wants.

Why does anyone believe this? His repetitive blather is annoying in the extreme. The pros can ignore it (and maybe even glean information from it). Recs would run screaming from a table with Kassouf on it.

- He blathers when he is in a hand and the action is on him.

- He blathers when he is in a hand and the action is on you.

- He blathers when he is not in a hand.

That cannot be a fun experience for any amateur player.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

If he was actually saying cruel and abusive things I'd agree 100%, but he wasn't. From my many hours spent in casinos the games with people acting like him are usually the games I want to be playing. (again, excluding the ridiculous tanking)

If you can't handle a guy like him chirping at you that says a lot more about you than him.

+1,000

So many giving GB crap over his privilege line when Kassouf demanding a penalty for someone telling him to get back to England is the money shot.

Guess someone got under his skin.

Hold up, in the context of everyday life your comment makes sense. But in poker, where trying to get a read on your opponent is an essential and critical part of the game it doesn't.

I don't think people are hating on those guys (vayo/berger/whoever else) for calling him out, I think it's more how they went about it and what they said.

I'd personally have way more respect if some guy just directly told him to "shut the **** up" and responded with some real nuts rather than this PC passive aggressiveness which is a joke. Or they could have handled it in a professional manner and used the TDs to do it for them.

Either way they all handled him so pathetically it makes me question if some of these guys have ever been in any form of confrontation away from the poker table, that berger guy was acting like WK shot his dog or something...

Did you watch the show! Several people said this several times including multiple floor people and the director of the ****ing tournament.

He didn't care because he is a narcissistic sociopath who doesn't care at all about how his actions effect those around him.

Fine, but that is not what you said previously. You previously said that Kassouf "is great to get other not so good players into the game".

Now you are saying that you would like to play on a table with Kassouf or someone like him.

We have established that good players may well want Kassouf on their table (excluding the tanking). But my fervent view is that amateur recs would not want Kassouf on their table.

As you undoubtedly know, there were several instances of that viewpoint at the WSOP ME that we are discussing.

GB wasn't passive aggressive; posters 'complained' when the players when to the TD. Honestly, who are the people in this thread?

I'm still saying that. Look at private games, for example. Who gets invited, the pro sitting there not saying a word with his headphones in or the guy interacting with the other players and having a little banter back and forth? The other Brit that went deep didn't take him serious at all, and they had a little fun going back and forth with each other. The pros and wanna be pros were the ones getting upset from what I saw.

Kassouf would never be invited to a home game (at least not more than once)

Apologies, was referring to the AA > KK incident rather than the whole wsop which after re-reading my comment wasn't clear.

If my memory serves that one fairly reasonable fellow called the clock. The rest just kinda sat there looking angry, realised he was coolered then joined in the gay parade with berger.

Also, imo (which may be vastly different from some of your guys) shouting "this is verbal abuse" is still kinda passive agressive and weird, the volume you say it at doesn't really change anything.
