So two of those douchebags take 18 minutes to play one ****ing hand and they are complaining about Kassouf?

Kassouf was taking long EVERY HAND. He would tank with pre flop folds. So yes the hand took long, but it was long organically. Kassouf takes extra time on purpose every hand in a purposeful way to frustrate people.

They used the one player per hand rule on him there.

They also warned him, continuously, that it was against rules to not give other players space to think during their action and he would be penalized for it.

I think the TDs showed a lot of patience with him in episode 12.

It was interesting that JohnnyBax spoke up in place of Moss, so Moss wouldn't have to speak during the hand and potentially give away any tells.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

Sure Kassouf tanks a lot and that's not good for the game and so on. But the other idiots at the table can't be good for poker either, mocking the guy for playing a 500$ stack the other day and so on. And that bax wtf is his problem?

Re: "9 high like a boss"

The obst and Diane hand had legitimately difficult decisions. Kassouf was talking and tanking before he even looked at his cards. They are totally different decisions.

He was 100 percent using these stalling tactics to frustrate people to his own benefit and that is a violation of the spirit of the game. Personally, I would have given him a penalty.
Me as well

He was right, but I'm not totally convinced it was a good fold. I think his hand is absolutely face up by the river. Hell, I'm charitably break even at very low stakes and when the initial reporting happened, I posted "I guess Obst had 77" immediately. I think that means Ruane can bluff with impunity. Given that Obst cold three bet the flop, I'm surprised Ruane called. But if he's calling with 89cc I think he can also be calling with QJ, AcXc, even something like AcQx. And he can turn every single one of those hands into bluffs on the river if Obst is going to b/f 77 there.

If you rewatch it you'll see that when he comes over, he argues loudly with Kassouf through her entire 'clock time'.
There is barely any moment in the hand that isn't filled with someone arguing.
I think all she wanted was a bit of time to think.
(Also the guy who calls the clock in some way actually comes off as more annoying than Kassouf lol)

Kassouf is annoying and talks too much, he knows it, that's his game plan. Everyone in the video seems to make mistakes (including Stacy who probably should have used more of her time to think about her hand, rather than join in with any of the arguements).

It makes for interesting TV, but not an easy spot to be in (2hr blinds 10 hours a day, with the cameras on you etc.)

Kassouf hand gestures are kind of funny , but after he does it twice he's asking for trouble (it's like he's giving the people in charge the finger, showing he's found a way around their rules).

I agree with rockin, a line has to be drawn somewhere. I think everyone agrees that some talking is allowed, but a decision has to be made at some point of when it becomes excessive chatter/taunting.

I think maybe a simple adjustment they could make would be, that if someone calls the clock, then that clock time is in complete silence (nobody talks). Or at least the last 30 secounds of clock time is in silence. This would give any player enough time to think and make their move without distraction.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

Espn did a great job creating fictional drama that wasnt real y there. All this took place in maybe 1 hour of the 12 h of play. It is 100% clear that kassouf is a micro stakes fish Who begann ultra stalling as soon as he got up to a 100bb stack, before that it was like he wasnt even there. Poor etiquete and behaving like a clown.

If you aré playing from day 5 on, al you "good for the game" "enjoy playing cards" donks can go to Hell!
Its not about tv, fans, saving poker economy.
Its all about making multiple millions now.

Flush is never in his value shove range when the board pairs in that spot.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

The problem is that he makes out that people don't like his speech play, but that's not the problem. It's the time he takes doing it.
Cliff was dead right when he said maybe they should all take the same amount of time.
Obviously though, that would mean that they would only get 3 hands per level so they'd be cutting of their own noses.

He does it because he can, but I 100% guarantee there will be rule amendment next year.

he specifically put him on a straight flush and said so. Obst is a great player, humble and respectful, the complete opposite of Kassouf.

fold is great but I think given its final 27 and big stack clashes are going to be rare, he actually can put him on straight flush only, due to ranges being so narrow. I think flop 3bet is only getting flatted by QQ, combo draw, nut FD. QQ unlikely too because he flats pre vs Pons and would usually always value 3bet a rec player.

Ruane small bet ott probably doesn't reduce his range at all, but when he ships it over the 4.9 million, in order to call he would have to assume Ruane turns nut flush into a bluff jam, and Ruane would have to be a total ****ing sicko to do this during final 27 vs another big stack, where it looks like villain has the boat of 77 or JJ and giving 4:1 odds on a call, and praying he puts you on a straight flush and folds a boat.

If anyone is on the fence about if he is good for the game or not, consider this: I don't see individual posts about anyone else in the WSOP.

9 high like a boss.
