Pretty confused how anyone who has played live poker can defend Kassouf. Players who take 2 minutes every hand, for no reason, are the absolute worst. I couldn't care less about the babble he spews, but the time wasting is unacceptable and the TD needs to nix it. If everyone did that, you'd play one hand an hour. There's a reason no one at the table could stand him.

I'm American. Decently informed. Mostly anti-SJW, but obviously some of their points have merit.

Benger's outburst just absurdly cringeworthy. Don't think that's even debatable. And Kassouf tanking was way over the line and disrespectful to the other players. But L-O-L that he was verbally abusing Benger.

Anyway, on to my question. And I'm dead serious. What on Gods Green Earth does check your privilege mean there? If someone can give me a sincere answer it'd be really appreciated.

Also would add that it is beyond pathetic for Kassouf to beg the TD to give Benger a penalty. I mean, Kassouf can babble nonsense for days and then can't even handle someone spouting off back to him? Sad, really.

His point was that kassoff is a pure narcissist. He thinks he is allowed to do anything, no matter how miserable he makes those around him as long as he can hide behind "im not breaking the rules". He thinks the only thing that matters is his perceived EV no matter how much it affects those around him. He wouldn't care if his antics ruined the tournament for 6000 other players because all that matters is his EV and enjoyment. It's also clear he enjoyed making everyone else miserable and wore it as a badge of honour.

Nobody in the history of poker has needs to check their privilege more.

Just got around to watching the youtube clips of Kallouf.
How does anyone have an issue with him? The only issue I see is him using rules to his advantage where maybe they should have clearer rules. But other players can call clock on him every time it's his turn and they choose not to...

It sounds like it's the preflop tanking on routine decisions such as folding trash in bad position.

Phoenix: there's a certain amount of time before you can call a clock, and even then he gets sixty more seconds. Think about that. He'd have like three minutes per action per hand even if they called the clock every time. If he played it to the river, that's at least twelve minutes. And, they said he'd delay before even looking at his cards. It's unnecessary and to the detriment of everyone.

I'm glad at least some people are taking Kassouf's side in all this. The only issue I have with him is the time issue with his hands if they really were only getting 2/3 the hands other tables were getting due to him.

The others at the table seems like such bitches - esp Vayo and Benger. Vayo just couldn't couldn't stop gossipping about every damn thing and Benger was just a dbag with his whole "check your privilege" crap.
