Josephy: "Clown, clown, clown." "This is a horrah show" "I felt I had to talk for you. We're all on the same team here."

Vayo: "I was playing with him earlier, he berated a woman to tears"

Scumbag Bleznick: "I'm losing my mind, I can't take it. This dude is like a $50 nightly grinder........I'll stake you in the $109 rebuy, I promise." "He plays like $10 tournaments."

Niwinski: "What's your name? I'm really sorry you had to go through all that."

Moss: "This is got to be going to the serial offender thing...........he's done nothing against the rules."

Give me a table full of William Kassouf's anyday over these fragile little bitches.

Kassouf IS a boss. Poker is dying. Kassouf shipping the main would of been the greatest thing to happen to poker in a decade.

If you prefer a bunch of scarf wearing silent "pros" who collectively tank and slow the table down just as much, you'll probably get it back next year. Or even better, a similar group of dbags that were featured tonight(not referring to Kassouf). GG poker

Jack Effel is the biggest clown in this episode. Like a Boss.
Just watched the episode and have to agree with this.

The rest of the table came across as school kids who weren't allowed some sweets after school. Be a professional and deal with it, the "berated a woman to tears" bit, seriously **** you Vayo.

I seriously think they all came off way worse then Kassouf.

Yes, they did. But I think it would be different if they didn't edit out the time it took Kassouf to make a decision. He even seemed to take extra time to just look at his cards.

To me it seems Kassouf is both good and bad for getting people into poker. Talking and trying to get reads and being a bit over the top is great for TV and makes for a much more interesting view for casuals/non-poker-players then nine silent hoodies with sunglasses. On the other hand, to have people slowing down the game at the table gives everyone who sits down (especially beginners/casuals) a bad experience of the game.

I think and I don't agree with this line of logic, but I think what the tournament director was hinting at with "one person per hand" is that, when you ask another person what you should do with your hand, you are "technically" violating the one person per hand. Think if he was asking a bystander what he should do.

It was a total stretch, in my opinion, I think Kassouf was just trying to get information and not solicit what he really should do with his hand.

It was an interesting ruling. I can't help but believe that apparently there was a lot more that happened that wasn't broadcasted, not capture by the cameras in early days, or edited out.

Somehow I find Kassouf entertaining on tv, agree with Bax that he's a clown, know I would have said and behaved worse if h Kassouf was at my table for two pressure packed days of the WSOP ME, and think Jack got it 100% wrong in how he handled it.

Would have been better if Jack just came over and said, "Enough with the excessive talk and tanking. It's creating a hostile environment. I'm going to sit here myself and if I think you're tanking/talking too much I will give you one warning, followed by a 1 round penalty."

Id be shocked if there were a ton of ppl who felt this way. I think what ppl who do feel like this fail to realize is we are seeing a dummy downed edited version. They are taking 12 hours of play and fitting it into 40 minutes. I am not a fan of Mr. Josephy but he was 1000% correct. The dude is a damn clown. Can u imagine being at the pinnacle of your profession and this is your time and some ass hat is taking 12 minutes with 33 for like 10% of his stack just to be a jerk?

And while I agree that Effel is a putz I commend him for getting onto Kassouf. If I were the TD I would give him 30 secs to act preflop and declare his hand dead & a minute on every subsequent street.. Some of u will say he can't do that but it's clearly written in TDA that the TD has extreme leeway for the good of the game. And as far as them ganging up on Kassouf u have got to be kidding. That table was full of the some of the nicest guys in poker.

I wish sheikan, viffer, Farha, Elezra and those guys wlda been at table. Kassouf would have been kidnapped and beated on break. I don't know Kassouf personally but some on here said that he does this stuff at his home casino as well. To me that is not what Poker needs. U can be entertaining while not making all of your peers upset. Stealth, Hevad Khan. Plenty of ppl can talk and have fun & play at a non snail like pace

Special rules for pros like Hellmuth.

Moron moron moron moron moron moron moron repeat ad infinitum

No penalty from Jack.

Do you want me to call? didn't even take that much time it looked like ... though who knows ... Jack doesn't even let him play out the hand!!! He berates hin IN FRONT OF THE OTHER PLAYERS while another player is at risk for his tournament life.

Totally unprofessional on Jack's part. And it seems that Jack feels free to do whatever he feels like when an amateur is involved, but kisses the asses of the pros.

thankfully most players only get one chance at the WSOP Main Event so we won't ever have to see Kassouf again

"Is your wife a "goer", eh? Nudge nudge, know what I mean, know what I mean? Say no more, say no more."

This is what Kassouf brings to poker (h/t to the tv thread).

There's a reason everybody at his table was tired of this one-note tool, and it's not because he's a boss.

Got to hand it to Stacy tho for coming back and jerking the lure just enough to start another frenzy.......like a boss.

TDs here are all idiots.

Them + the players at Kasouffs table are the reason why people who lose money at poker like myself dont play anymore.

It's his fifth main event and if he makes the money next year he'll be at the featured table 100%.

Don't understand this at all. He is and will always be an online guy but forced to play more live & everyone at that table is miserable & I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be miserable under those circumstances. If everyone played like him u would literally get <5 hands per hour.

it can be interpreted many ways, i think the TD's interpretation is since Will has 2 hands and not 1, and is 1 person not 2, he can use this ruling to justify anything he wants to, i believe its like a dictatorship clause.

Missed this post and agree with all but Kassouf being entertaining. I just find him douchey BUT if I wasnt a poker player I would agree that he is entertaining.. Every good story needs a hero and a villain right.

I definitely would've just snap gave Kassouf a 1 round penalty after all the crap and if he acted up I'd make it 2 rounds very quickly and so forth. I would imagine he shut his mouth and started acting in a timely manner very quickly.

His Hollywooding seems to be working for him, he's 3rd with 21 left. Or something.

If you want a clock, call a clock.

If you think that a person is delaying the game, speak to the floor in a civilized voice.

Never interrupt a hand when you aren't involved as most of the players at the table were doing. If I was in the hand I'd have told them to shut the **** up.

And Mr. "I think people who play $10 tournaments are beneath me" ... go **** yourself asswipe.

Incredibly -- and I do mean incredibly -- everyone at or near that table ended up looking worse than the episode's "villain" Kassouf.

The amount of cry-bullying and smugness made Kassouf actually look like a sympathetic character being attacked by people threatened by his game and (in the case of the TD) his confidence and that respond by fighting unfairly and as a group.

p.s -- Vayo lied to try to score white-knight points. Pathetic.

Well, I guess if EPSN/WSOP really wanted to tank the TV ratings more than they already have, they'll continue to focus only on Kassouf's tanking and everyone else bitc*ing about it lol. Pretty dismal episode last night, can hardly believe a casual fan would stick around and watch that crap.

I'm just glad I won't have to sit through his chatter-box "speech play" while watching the Final Table.

Oh, and I bet there is a Kassouf rule next year: If you are heads-up and all-in, your opponent can no longer try to engage you in conversation or badger you if you clearly don't act receptive to it.

I thought Josephy, vayo, bleznick, moss came off terrible. The whole this guy plays $10 tournaments and moss saying he did post a pic of a $500 chip stack. **** off the pair of you. I'm sure that looks good to a recreational player watching deciding wether he wants to play in future. I like kassoufs speechplay but absolutely disagree with the time he takes to make basic decisions. Even though he was doing it even more to bait them because he knew he was tilting them. Absolutely owned bleznick that AQ hand.
The comment about making a woman burst into tears was vile as well, made out like he insulted her and berated her .
Watching the last episode makes me just wanna watch the clip of bleznick in poker after dark trying to engage in conversation with Ivey and laugh

They stupid thing is the rest of the table was probably right that he was wasting too much time preflop on routine decisions but they chose to handle it like children and high school bullies in a way where Kassouf came out looking like the good guy.

Also, nearly everything the TD's said in this episode was insane. How do they have jobs?

Keep in mind we are seeing the "edited" tanking for TV replay, and as you know the full amount of tanking is never shown for edited TV coverage, obviously. So you can assume it was really bad tanking on every single decision, and even before he looks at his cards tanking about what he might or might not do depending on what he sees when he finally does look at his cards.

If the tanking looked bad on edited TV replay, you can be sure it was horrendous in unedited live play.
