Cash, PLO. So it's not even like there is any obvious "AI" one could be using. The closest thing to AI widely available, to my knowledge, is Poker Snowie. I presume that 888 integrity team is referring to some sort of play automation or something, but they literally just gave everybody the same message..

Maybe we should start a new thread for it as it seems there are already quite a few of us in the same situation and I have a feeling there are more to come.

Not sure what's going but it doesn't sound right at all.
This is a thread that was brought to my attention after I posted about this in a Skype group: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...nwave-1682200/

I believe that 888 also has to be a bit careful, because prior to me depositing, they very aggressively emailed me getting me to deposit and even after I deposited, they were trying to get me to reload a few times, even though I am still clearing the deposit bonus. I don't think that looks very good to gaming comissions (target players, get them to deposit, and then seize their funds if they suspect they might not be net depositors under the guise of suspicion of using "AI"). I've never seen anything like this on this scale before.

Yes, it means Stack and Tile. Essentially Table Ninja that works on 888.

Same here, wtf is going on? What AI? What are they talking about? Haven't played in 2 weeks and get this email without any explanation. Well done 888, great customer care!

I also received the same email as OP and got banned for use of "AI".
For the record I don't know OP is.

I played for a total of 3 days in July, less than 8k hands total on my account and my last session was July 19th. i.e. I haven't been playing much at all.

I got the same ban email yesterday and just now got a follow up:

With regards to your account xxxxx, this has been reviewed and the decision to discontinue your membership still stands. This decision is final and has only been taken after careful consideration of all factors involved.

Please refrain from opening any further accounts with any site managed by Cassava Enterprises as these too will be blocked and no deposits returned. We now consider this matter closed, any further correspondence regarding this matter will only evoke the same response.

Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.

Regards,

Operations Team

I was using 888caption2 which is on the approved software list (similiar to starshelper).

This ban just seems completely random and out of nowhere - I don't understand at all and it looks like 888 aren't going to co-operate with us.

Theory: my friend who signed up at the same time as me and has been playing much more didn't get banned. He multi-sites and has more third party software open.

The only difference in our accounts are that I signed up through an affiliate and he didn't.

So far everyone i've spoken to about this had an affiliate account fwiw (that i've asked, unsure about 100% of ppl in this thread)

Why do you think they won't cooperate with us? The rep has acknowledged the issue in the official support thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28.../index788.html and SenpaiSwif said that the decision has been reversed for some accounts already.

Didn't see the post about the reversals (blind).

FWIW: Only 1 person posted about getting a reversal apparently - a microstakes SNG player on the pokerstrategy forums.

Anyone else?

So far it seems to be the only case from <-> so if someone knows other cases - plz share.

Very difficult situation since no info is released so far and the communication of official 888-reps within various pokercommunities is so far very vague and non-straight-forward in my opinion.
So hoping as everyone else, there there will be some clear info out.

For those of you that are/were affiliated, were you getting some kind of extra rewards on top of what 888 offers in coins? I.e. Extra rakeback?

This is a scumbag move.

Note I'm pretty sure PokerStars and every online poker security site makes this exact same statement, but it is a scumbag move. Also a sign of weakness, not strength I'd say.

What are you quoting? That's not part of the e-mail. Did they make some statement somewhere?

This clearly deserves to be on the nvg frontpage of 2p2. Why is it being hidden here? Does 2p2 have any ecconomic reasons for hiding it?

This is part of the follow up emails they are sending out. I'm not sure if he's quoting my earlier post or if he also received the same response.

I overlooked your post, I see it now. Did they withhold your funds or return it to you?

Withheld, doesn't look like I am getting them back - no reason or explanation given.

Will update if anything changes but it's looking extremely unlikely. I'd be quite surprised if anyone who got the email manages to get their money back.

I also wouldn't get hopes up about the 888 rep being aware of the issues in the other thread, as far as I know all he is doing is forwarding on our issues to the operations team (saving us having to do it manually via the website).

I just made this post about the botting problem on party poker .... http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=490

I also play 888 and there is a serious botting issue there too at $3/6+.

I'm not sure if op is genuine or not but that fact a lot of people he knows also got banned sounds suspicious.

I'm glad 888 are taking this issue seriously and taking steps to eradicate the bots before they kill online poker altogether, I just hope no genuine players are cought up in the cross fire...

888: Only 7-8k hands on my account, only ever played 3 sessions (all in mid July) i.e. not playing much - banned & no reason given except "AI", money withheld, only used 888caption2.

Stars: 150-200k hands this year, account working perfectly fine, not one problem, my main site (hence the very low volume on 888)

If I was using a bot and got caught the last place I would be is here crying about it and bringing more attention to myself (and most likely the same for the other guys). The ban feels quite random and doesn't feel right, the only correlation I see is that most people who did get banned all seemed to have signed up via affiliates.

jfc reading comprehension is not a common strength on 2p2.. 3 ppl i actually know (read: have met at some point and speak to on skype maybe 6 times a year) got banned, everyone else was a friend of a friend or someone who reached out to me after i made this thread.

I also feel like botters would try to keep a lower profile and not draw too much attention to themselves. They know they are cheating, so getting caught is just part of the risk for them.
It's rough on players that actually try to adhere to all the rules.
By the way, I think there are quite a few affiliated players that are not banned. So, I don't thin kit has to do with being affiliated, however there is certainly a correlation. Any account that is suspect probably would be affiliated. It's a case of causation vs correlation I believe.

How do you know so many people who play online? I have zero friends who play online. When I try to chat with people who play online, they ignore me. Online poker is a very unfriendly environment. One of the things I'm concerned about recently is the large groups of colluders I've heard about recently on other threads. Someone on the Party thread posted about a guy who has a team of people playing MTTs on party. What concerns me is that when I'm deep in a tourney, I could have 3 or 4 of these guys at my table...they all know each other and I have no idea. Same same with cash. It makes me nervous to know that a bunch of people who play online cash "know each other".

TLDR: I find it suspicious that the OP knows so many people.
