$50 dollar bills bad luck? - Page 2 - Poker News

I've never been to Parx but I suspect that those $2 chips will be from their limit games. AFAIK there's no other use to them. Even in a $1/2 game it's easiest just to have $1 and $5 chips.

Stones has $2 chips. I remember them being a lavender color or something. But as others said, it comes up for the smaller limit games like $4/8 Omaha8.

At least haven't heard €50 are bad luck. You don't see them much though, card etc paying is the norm. After a loong hiatus I'm planning to go to the casino, interesting to see if everything is on card.

There’s places outside Vegas that have this superstition too but seem centralized in certain areas.

Currency really wasn’t thought out well. Should be 1$ 5$ 20$ 100$ and 500$. 10s and 50s are kinda useless because too close to other denominations that are very frequently used

I like the former Dutch guilder increments better - coins at 5c/10c/25c/1/2.5/5 guilders, bills at 5/10/25/50/100/250/1000 guilders - every denomination is either 2 or 2.5x the previous one, other than the 25c-1 guilder and 250-1000 guilder gaps. They could have done away with the 50 guilder bill as well, and it would have been fine.

People are just out here repeating things they've heard. If you hold strongly or frequently to a concept, you will interpret events in a way that supports it. If you experience events that do not support it, you will have the "but what if it's true this one time!" thoughts.
