Ask to be paid in Bitcoin but have it sent to a bank!?
Why do online news outlets not proofread their **** articles?
This detail has been bothering me, too.
They keep reporting the "money being sent to a Cuban bank" or "the bitcoin being received in Cuba", but that's not how bitcoin payments work.
So where does Cuba actually fit into all of this?
So many unanswered questions here.
I suppose it's possible they shipped money to Cuba to be converted to bitcoin and then shipped to the kidnappers, but why would Cuba be necessary for this, and wouldn't 5Dimes already have plenty of BTC to send?
