I have no idea about the games that run right now and the stakes are certainly significantly higher than what they play most of the year, but if you look into Bobby’s Room on an average non-WSOP weeknight there’s a decent chance to see a table where every single guy is a well known pro. Maybe they just pass around money in hope of somebody wealthy showing up, but at least it always looks like a game is going.
This has been discussed in this forum before. It is like any other high stakes game, but fewer amateurs. Some of the big names are losing at that game. Not all the big names from way back or the younger primarily big bet pros are that good at that stakes mixed games. There are occasional amateurs, whales or not. Also, shot-taking lower stakes pros. You can watch close to that stakes mixed games on Pokergo and see that there are some obvious mistakes.
