In west palm beach it was rummored that the girl that won event #2 did not tip because she thinks they take to much rake. So for all you un appreciative $#%$'s out there, like that bitch, I will break it down for you!
Of the 300+45 buy in + 10 dealer addon.... of the 300...3% goes to prize pool which they take in every tournament on the face of the planet. That is 9 dollars..... 45 goes to the THE WEST PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB, not to PTC or the dealers at all and yes 10 dollars to the staff. So I'm paying 19 dollars to the PTC staff that flies 3/4 away across the country to deal to me for an entire day. That is 14 hours from noon - 2 am when we bag up for day 2. then come back and deal to me again after working a 15 hour day the previous day, which is almost 2 times as much as the average american. And you want to Bitch about these people? Is this because your not good enough to make day 2 or just cant stay away from craps? You pay 6 dollars for 30 minutes in a time raked live game but cant give these guys 19 a day that do all this so you have the opportunity to get a ring and get a huge score! You give the waitress that brings you a water 2 dollars, the food server a 5 dollar tip, but you cant give the dealers 19 for flying across the country for you the player. Personally i'm thankful they are doing this for only 19. I wouldn't want to do what they do. They put up with to much stress and grief from us players and all you want to do is complain?
They are professional for the most part. The rulings are very consistant, and they work long hours (usually 15+ hour days) that you can only compliment and admire them for putting up with your Bull****! And they return again the next day to give that same kind of dedication, professionalism, and service. They offer there entire year to you the player and all you do it whine. I will gladly pay 10 dollars and if they ask for more I will pay it... as well as tip when I win. Why you ask... because i would rather pay an entire staff 19 dollars, that knows what the hell they are doing to fly in and run a great structured tournament with phenominal dealers, then to pay for a tournament that has 45 dealers that cant speak english, get inconsistant floor calls, and have and the only thing they understand about poker is how to say" good luck and she-she" and you all know who im referring to. They pay hotel cost that local in house dealers dont pay. AND WE ALL BITCH AT HOW MUCH THEY SUCK AND DONT KNOW RULES. Think about it people. pokercast. you want to get rid of the 10 dollars... they you get the quicker tournaments with the ****ty dealers. go play on poker stars then... oh wait you cant!
You want to bitch about jimmy, the properties, the staff, the dealers, and everything else by saying they take to much.... but you know what... you keep showing up, and you keep paying it.... if you don't like it don't F'ing play any WSOP circuit event then. and stop bitching about it!
Jimmy is retired now....... now what are you gonna bitch about next?
your tirade would make a lot of sense if this was a tipping thread, but it is not a tipping thread.
it is about over 1 million dollars of undocumented and untraceable tokes in one year alone on the circuit. only one person knows exactly how much was taken in, and how much should of been given to the dealers. that person has the reputation of being a very degenerate and shady individual.
as a dealer, your first concern shouldn't be complaining about taking away the $10. your concern should be figuring out a system to protect your money from thieving hands. it has been happening for years, with no oversight. you should keep bitching until there is a system to stop this crime of opportunity. it is pretty hard to find out what truly went on in the past, when the regulator is the exact same people who are in charge. this thread should open your eyes of what you need to do in the future to protect yourself.
it is no coincidence that dealer income has gone down, and how much management income has increased over the past 10 years. a $10 toke has been forced on the players, yet dealer income has still drop significantly. it is not in the final table tips, there have always been plenty of stiffs.
all of the money dealers used to make is still in the system. it is now in the managements hands. you shouldn't have to work 15 hour days to make the same money you used to make in 8.
this is the only area of any casino that is not micro managed, and therefore open to corruption. open your eyes, or continue to be their pawns.
