When Zima was on the podcast he said Melanie was 'the epitome of a scumbag'.

You should only have Weisner on if everything is on the record and you have the balls to press her at least a bit about Lock -- and you get yourself a bit informed beforehand.

She shouldn't be given a platform like this without having to answer for her actions and Lock sponsorship.

You should listen to Rant. I've heard he's one of the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx.

Warranted or not, there is way more negativity directed towards Melanie than other Lock Pro. I for one am quite interested in hearing her side of the story. And it will make for a pretty fair and interested podcast, especially given the allegations made by Zima.

Traveling has really put my schedule out of the norm and have barely been online In regards to Melanie, I didn't remember her being involved with everything that went down with Lock. I'm sure if she was to come on, she would expect that to be brought up and discussed. When I met her I thought she seemed pretty interesting and would be fun to have on.

Papiiiii Dabessss! I might have thought something similar previous to meeting with him and talking for 20 minutes. I would venture to guess most of the things we would talk about would be the first time hearing it coming from his side. I told him that he would be good to have on (outside of obvious reasons) because people that have the exact impression you do of him would change it once they heard him talk with me. Similar to WCGRider circa episode 1 of power poker and Jungleman.

Will be back podcasting tomorrow in person with longtime HS player Mike 'Gordo' Gorodinsky. Gordo used to play HSPLO online prior to black friday and now plays live out here in California.

Should be sometime between 4-6pm EST

Just whoa.
Do you even care about the poker community besides who's winning/losing on the felt ?
Try to spend less time on RussianPTR and more on threads that matter:

Yeah, why is that ?
Maybe because she stood by Lockpoker for so long and tried to put laughable logic behind her stance
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=157
But many other LockPros did the same, right ? So why her more than the others ?
Well, maybe because:

So she kept promoting LockPoker while it was clear it was a scam AND at the same time used her special position inside the company to make a profit on cashing out the stolen funds.

The epitome of a scumbag.

I followed along with what was happening at Lock as some of my friends had alot of money stuck on there at the same time Muchos was taking peoples money and I was checking out the other US sites to play on. I had always associated a couple others pros with the site but had forgot she was involved with it.

This is ****ed up.
How can you plead ignorance when you had a guest that told you exactly what Melanie Weisner did ?

Regarding the use of "allegedly", it is not warranted in this particular case since the PM is a fact that has never been disputed by Weisner herself.

surely she must be expecting all this to be brought up on the podcast.

I say get her on but make sure you ask all the awkward questions.

I don't really understand what your point is already.dead. If she was going to come on this would be one of the first things I brought up. I've had worse people on in terms of ethics and moral.

Do you really think he wouldn't ask good juicy questions to her that would make it a really good podcast? CJ has a unique ability to ask awkward questions in a fun/friendly manner that gets people to open up about whatever.

Right when SRP made a short re-appearance on aim/whatever, the first thing CJ did was try to call him up. Most people would have tried to ignore him due to awkwardness.

Isn't this the kind of guest you would want on? Post your questions in the stream chat and there is a very good chance CJ would read it if it isn't too crazy.

So, you didn't remember her involvement with Lock Poker but at the same time you were ready from the start to ask her the tough questions ?
Does not compute.
And that is my point.

Note that the only reason I'm involved here is to make sure MW wouldn't get back some mainstream attention with her past with LP being silent.
If you're ready now to ask her the tough questions and that she is ready, after 2 years of being silent on the subject, to finally speak up about what she did; then by all means, do it !
I'm eager to watch that interview, as I'm sure many others are. Especially those who are still working hard on the Lock Poker case.
But let's not kid ourselves up here, shall we ? That was not the original plan.

I think I just answered your question, care to answer mine now ?

chill out encyclopedia brown, you're not exposing some kind of scandal here

there's about a 0% chance that MW could make it onto the live stream and not get grilled about lock, regardless of whether or not joey knows all about it and has a bunch of questions prepared
