Joey's got a new video on the Chris Paul - Rondo fight. I like Joey's presentation style in a way but then again there's something that seems not quite right there too, maybe he's talking too fast, can't really put my finger on it.
I'm hanging up the controller for a some unknown period of time. A while back, WPN asked me to come and work for them. I accepted the offer a couple months ago. So, I'm working with the WPN team now, and I'm excited to offer the player perspective and experience to help improve the software.
It's a bitter sweet experience as I'll miss the quiet nights of jamming to tunes while 45 tabling and the perks of a pro-poker lifestyle. But...since I won't be using my setup, I figured I might as well share the setup I put together that helped me grind the Beast for the last couple years.
I laid out the setup in my most recent blog.
Hope a few of you can get good use out of it.
Happy grinding,
QTip aka Owen Gaines
This is the guy that works for acr that was hired. Not accusing owen of anything but he was 50 tabling on acr winning the beast every month talking to me in chat saying he uses a joy stick while he would be walking a treadmill. And he no longer plays after he was hired but he definitely has the tech skills to know how to make bots so he should have no problem locating them and removing them from the site. He also wrote a book. Poker Math That Matters: Simplifying the Secrets of No-Limit Hold'em which i actually recommend helped turn my game around. I was trying to send this private message to joey but your pm box is full cause i dont like to put poker players on blast. But he is the one that updates their software and fixes any issues they have. So maybe do a interview with him and ask if he doe security and with his knowledge of poker and know how why he is not doing it. I think that would immediately fix any issues on the site. hes one of the smartest guys around when it comes to tech for poker.
And i have a old message from acr stating " World renown tourament directors Jack McCelland and Jim Albrecht have worked with us to ensure the integrity of the game and many of the worlds top professional players have endorsed our efforts." These are las vegas tourney directors that I guess know how to keep the integrity of the game for online poker something they don't play. Thats a old screen shot message from acr. So i don't know if your done talking about ACR but thats just old info I dug up. I still think there is bots on the site, but imo not as bad as it was. I think acr has tried to clean it up some just from my personal opinion playing after you putting ACR on blast.

They live in the same town and do it over stream. Joey and Doug step your ****ing game up! There are comedians that fly across the continent and do pods together.
You 2 have some amateur hour stuff to shake off when it comes to pods imo. SAME TOWN......
Sadly I agree/Dough just vacuums positiv energy with 6th child finger pointing syndrome and moral laddering critiques. Man just leave people alone and do your own ****, the finger pointing was fun to begin with but now... its time for a change broman.

Reason: sorry.
nah i like all the drama and gossip, that **** is lit. what i don't like is all the bitching and moaning about ACR or whatever (a site that nobody with half a brain really plays on anyway, because lol why bother, it's acr). i dont know how much adderall was involved in that whole episode, and i'm not sure what joey or anybody else expected to get in return for outing some bots/bugs and unethical business practices over there. like were they supposed to make joey the new head of their security department? phil nagy supposed to step down as CEO? organized boycott? seemed to me like it caused some headaches for them in the short term, probably cost them some of their customer base, damaged their reputation, and that's good and appropriate but i'm not sure what else anybody wants out of it.
i don't play at ACR, i never have, and i never will thanks in no small part to the work you guys put into exposing corruption over there. so kudos to you, it's appreciated.
I want more Chicago Joey podcasts. I used to be annoyed they didn’t talk more poker strat, etc but over time the podcasts really grew on me. I feel he does a great job keeping it interesting.
I think a pod with marle and binkin minkin would be GOAT status.

New video on something I've been talking to people about a lot lately in the industry.

YES
I am getting back after it hard, I've realized there is A LOT of opportunity for me in poker right now and for many people out there.
It will be challenging to figure out the GTO approach for the podcast guests. I have a lot of friends in all different sectors of the poker world that I tend to gravitate to first over exploring new guests/areas. I do have some PLO players I want to get on but I also have a lot of NL players, MTT players, Live players, influencers, business people and so on I want to have on. I used to have a strong grasp on who/what I wanted to have on podcast wise but it isn't as strong right now because of my approach this year to the poker world.
I'm having on an old podcast/chess favorite Ebony Kenney tomorrow as she has been doing a lot more in the poker world as of late and I love her. I think that it will be a fun conversation but obviously, a much different vibe and content compared to one of the top online players. I'm not sure if I should take a more consistent approach with the type of guests I have on or continue to mix them up. I want to start being consistent with 2 podcasts a week for a few weeks and also with my content in general before I start putting more emphasize on why I have certain people on.
1pm EST
Weds- Ebony Kenney
Thurs- Old school podcast favorite and currently battling in the online application PLO streets Dankness
was never a fan of Joe, in fact once got heavily banned by him on youtube :P , but have to say it looks like he is getting his **** together ( a bit :P ), most notifiable his (body-) language (kind of :P ) comes together :P
have to admit, that lately often he is really funny, as hard as it comes to me :P
Very nice video about the exit from this game. Lots of good points and relevant for 95%+ of us at one time or another.
Free up some PM space as I think I have a topic outside of poker that is interesting and would pick you up about 5k subscribers and 6 digits in views with 1 podcast.
