Really great podcasts so far Joey keep up the good work. I spent basically all day having them playing in the background today whilst grinding.

All your guests so far seem like really cool guys aswell. Isilroon/Yrmom/Lefort/WCG/ansky all clearly very smart people and people who most of us could learn from too.

I like your approach of getting a few non main steam names in the mix too. Everyone sort of knows the elite guys but its nice to learn more about some of the lesser known guys who are grinding midstakes aswell.

I always am reminded of some messages me and jinzerd had about this idea when I think about who I want to have on in the future. It was one of the initial reasons I began the pod and I'm glad others are able to enjoy the not so well known guys as well. It helps that the guys i've had on so far have been pretty interesting people. I think its good to have some of the well known bosses on as well to attract people to listen that are only into the names. Hopefully they stick around to listen to the non-names

Have you ever considered commentating on pre scheduled live HU matches? Like get 2 regs who will play for a pre determined amount of hands, maybe have a guest commentator, do post match interviews, review a hand or two. Have 2 PLO heavy weights slugging it out, like boxing. Call it friday night fights. You'd be Larry Merchant.

I prefer longer as well i've talked to a bunch of people who don't have much time to listen to 2 hour podcast who simply choose not to listen I'm actually not sure what I should do to encourage those people to simply listen to however much you can

This is along the same lines as that and I love it, I think I might be able to make something like this happen, great idea

YouTube automatically saves your stopping point so you can listen to some and come back later. That's what I do when I have to do something that takes me away from the wonderful world of podcasts.

Started listening to these podcasts yesterday. Pretty entertaining, but some of the ranting is pointless.

Good idea to do podcasts on your own too, not always with a guest, so I will +1 that.

Just recently found your podcasts/youtube channel. Really unfamiliar with plo and its community but the podcasts have been awesome. Hope you keep pumping out a ton of shows. Also living in northwest indiana atm, fun times eh? haha

Joe, surely the two practical problems with commentating on live HU matches is:
1) the speed of the action for 'as it happens' analysis
2) Because of the lack of visual or other stimuli for the watcher/listener - usually commentators have to have ALOT of other material to 'fill the gaps'....e.g. it is not as if the viewer is watching the tour de france which has the countryside to watch as the non-action bits drag out. DUCwhatI mean?

I would compare the challenges of the format to trying to do - blitz grand master chess... if it works great if not it can be a real struggle.



Good Luck anyway if you can sort those things out you might stand a chance of making the idea work imo.
