Joey, I just want to thank you for all you do for the poker community. You’re podcasts are great. I listened to the most recent Bill Perkins podcast and learned a lot from it. Towards the end he recommended the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I wrote the name of the book down and planned on reading it or listening to the audiobook. Last week I was dealing with some of the worst depression I’ve ever had so I bought the audiobook. I can’t recommend this book enough. This book has helped me tremendously and honestly gave me hope and positivity that I’ve never felt before. I’ve always felt like an outsider/misunderstood my whole life which led me to turn to alcohol and other drugs and eventually turn into the alcoholic that I am today. I’m not saying this book is going to magically make me stop drinking but it is certainly helped to bring me peace and to be accepting of myself. I just wanted to post this in case anyone missed the end of the Bill Perkins podcast. Thanks again Joey and also thanks to Bill Perkins for the recommendation

Been catching up a ton on the podcast over the last month.

The Hellmuth pod was a relatively entertaining listen. My favorite moment: “I’ve raised 46 million for charity. I charge $25,000 per appearance, but still, I’ve raised 46 million.” What’s the definition of charity again?

His “freestyle raps” were amazingly terrible also. One was a word for word copy of a few Jay-Z lines and the other was, verbatim: “Waaaay up I feel blessed. Waaaay up I feel blessed. I live the life I deserve I feel blessed.”

Also have listened to Gman, Barry G, luckychewy, Gus Hansen, Matt Berkey, and Mike Dentale eps recently. Thought gmans and Barry’s were excellent, Mike’s was good (some really interesting stuff about steroids and bar fights and growing up with organized crime in that one), and the Gus, Berkey, and Chewy eps were just ok.
