Hi everyone,

Sorry for the ignorance but I've read back through the last couple of pages and the topic seems to be mostly directed at foreigners or those playing big buy ins.

This is finally my first wsop and I'm playing the monster stack (1500). The cage in Paris is open 24/7 now right so the night before I can just go pay right there with cash and get a ticket, or....? Any simple help would be appreciated.

Btw, my girl is a gold? Member and we got a free! Week at horseshoe June 14-21 somehow. Never figured that'd be possible.

Yep, cash is the way I do it all the time. Just walk on up to the registration desk with your players card and pay the buy-in. All this other stuff is mostly for foreigners and/or those playing very expensive tournaments who don’t want to carry all that cash with them. I do the cheaper ones and usually keep enough cash on me for a couple bullets.

Free week - sweet for you two, not sure how you pulled that off but what a deal. Oh as a Gold you still will need to pay the resort fees but its still a bargain. Good Luck in the Monster. For more WSOP info try this thread https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/6...3/index27.html

yes I would reccomend you go after 1am if you want the shortest time possible, usually when I go at 2-3am at night the wait is usually between 15-30mins. at the rio it used to be a bit longr

Thanks guys. Yea I have no clue how or why they gave that to her. She's a degenerate but a few hundred a day type not a few thousand.

Pleasure,

Yea dude, I should have a long time ago but demons and bad decisions always put me in a spot where I either couldn't go or it's not a reasonable decision to play (financially). I've played for supplemental income for years but I'm pretty strict about shot taking in tournaments. I am confident, but a few grand is quire a bit compared to a 10k roll or so I've been fortunate to keep over the years.

Things are looking up now though, hopefully the Main next year!

Interesting though, the Main Event is still hard coded at $15K min cash, so no change for the Main Event payout structure, evidently.

I like the change, and think it makes sense to keep the Main the same, both because it's more actual dollars awarded for the mincash, but also obv a decent amount of satty qualifiers so the bubble is already extra meaningful.

anyone else like me looking closely at structures?

30/40 min tournaments ime (as a 100b cash player) are pretty brutal from a playability perspective -- lose a couple medium pots in the beginning/mid stages and you're already down to 10-20bbs.

Quick list of longer structure events:

$1500 6max 40/60
monster stack $1500 60 mins from the jump
millionaire maker $1500 60mins
main event 120mins
Midstakes championship $3k 60mins

WSOP does a $600 with 40/60. One of the best events on the schedule every year.

Have to look closely because some of their $600s are 30 min levels aka glorified one day tournaments.

Salute to Warriors is a $500 with 40 minute levels and 50k start stack, which is a good value also for sure.

It's right before the $400 Colossus which has a good structure also 40k/40 min and will have a ton of entries and not have an extra 8% taken out of the prize pool.

On another note, a good $300 tournament this Sunday at The Orleans with 50k chips and 30 min. blinds (assuming you take the $100 add on right away $200 + $100) good blind structure and 60k guarantee but should have 400-500.

It's the best $300 structure you will find. This tournament is slightly better overall structure than the $600 Aria. Main difference is 50k starting vs 30k.

Yep the last couple years I came the week that the Colossus and Salute were and enjoyed both events. Unfortunately, can't make that week work this year, going June 5-12 instead. Primary scheduled events (obv things can change due to Day 2 etc.):

June 5 - $800 deepstack WSOP
June 6 - $1600 2M guarantee Day 1C Wynn
June 7 - $1500 shootout WSOP
June 8 - $1600 750k guarantee Ultimate Stack Day 1B Venetian
June 9 - $300 Gladiator Day 1D WSOP
June 10 - $1500 freezeout WSOP
June 11 - $1100 mystery bounty Aria

Also if I'm out, will play a couple of the $400 satellites at Aria to the $3500 BetMGM tourney on June 7/8. LGLG.

I prefer fast structures until you get to like 10% then you can slow it down.

One of the real problems with structures when you get deep in the money is that hour levels are more like 30 minute levels with how slow play gets.

It's been a hot minute since I've been to Vegas during WSOP time. The TBIC accounts - can this be used to buy in to daily deepstacks and satellites as well, or is it only bracelet events?

Seems like I remember Main Event paying 19k for min cash, maybe that was 10-15 years ago.

A WSOP PARIS TBIC Account can be used to buy into any WSOP sanctioned event. If you can get the ticket at the Paris cage you can use your TBIC Funds.

If you set your account up via Bravo and funded it via Payfiniti I THINK so but have no experience to be absolutely sure for the daily.
