Doyle is late eighties so anything is tiring, but in general terms, poker isn't tiring. It's a fun game that gives you a buzz.
I dont want to come off as judgemental.
But if you are properly thinking thru your decisions and paying attention to the table when you arent in a hand, then 10 hrs of poker is very tiring. Your brain burns a ton of calories when it is engaged fully. I would be curious to know how many calories on average the top players burn during a day of high roller action. I know they did a study on top chess players from the Candidates tournament (determines who challenges for the World title), and the average player burned like 4k calories during a single game of classical chess.
Its a lot easier when you are scrolling or mindlessly watching something on your phone and arent fully engaged in the game, like most players are, particularly the recs.
