Yea, he runs good, like anyone else who does well at tournaments. To believe otherwise is both ******ed and disproven by the huge volume of "MTT pros" that haven't lasted.

Isn't flat calling the nuts a penalty?

Wowow what a way to win it. Nice job, Garcia.

David Eldridge limps in from the cutoff. Paul Michaelis does as well from the button. Jesse Cohen completes the small blind and Tom Marchese checks his option out of the big blind. Four players see a flop of Td8c2d and Cohen and Marchese check. Eldridge bets 31,000. Michaelis is the only one to call.

The turn is the 7d and Eldridge checks. Michaelis bets 68,000 and Eldridge thinks for a bit before he calls. The river is the 8d and Eldridge checks. Michaelis bets 180,000 and Eldridge immediately calls.

Michaelis tables 9d6d for a straight flush while Eldridge was on the wrong end of a cooler as he had the Ad8s for the ace high flush.

Paul Michaelis - 1,256,000
David Eldridge - 792,000

To those watching the stream, what was Michaelis' reaction at showdown? For example, when he saw Eldridge's ace-high flush, did he think he had lost (only to realize what he had)? If so, it's quite possible he misread his hand as a mere middling flush, and thus made what he thought was a crying call.

Pretty crazy, though.

The A high flush guy check called the straight flush guys bet on the river. There was nothing odd about the hand. The board was paired which is why he didn't check raise I assume.

Ah I got it wrong, Michaelis bet and Eldridge called on the river. He def reacted like he'd lost a huge amount of value though.

I imagine he expected him to raise the A high flush. Check call is quite nitty.

Oh duh... I misread the hand report. I thought the player with the straight flush was the one who flatted.

Yeah, carry on. Nothing to see here.

JC Tran raises to 36,000 on the button and Dee Tiller calls. The flop is K106 and Tiller check-calls 40,000 from Tran. The turn is the Q and both players check. The river is the 3 and Tiller leads out for 50,000.

Tran quickly calls and Tiller shows 105, but Tran wins the pot with his Q5.

"Oh Lordy," said Tiller. "That river."

"It was the turn," said Tran.

"Oh yea, the turn," said Tiller. "You should take that dealer on vacation with you."

JC Tran - 820,000
Dee Tiller - 1,100,000
Man if Douche Tiller makes final 2 I will be so tilted.
