2 - Turns out that playing really good small ball poker is BORING to watch .. -- yup it was boring to watch someone make so many good decisions and crush his opposition .. but he executed his strategy really well, and it paid off.
3 - the show was also boring because everyone else at the table decided to play for 2nd place. the money mattered most to all the players. (rightfully so..)
4 - yes it was crazy to watch someone go on a crazy heater, i'm looking forward to someone figuring out how many standard deviations from norm that run of cards was (I doubt we'll see a run this good at the final table again while i'm alive) . and I can see that alot of folks here are having a hard time being happy for someone who basically ran like a god. (Its not just crazy that he caught AA, KK, QQ, and AK, AQ so often, and that his AK connected with the board almost every time, but his opponents also caught reasonable hands those times).
if you are tilted by joe, think about what that is saying about you.

I think he's a nice kid, but man, did he play bad and lacked any kind of decent fundamentals. It surprises me diphtrong is so offensive about it. pbb being blind because he coached him (only for a week tho?)
beckley didn't get in much (difficult) spots at all at the ft, and the spots he had, he played pretty poorly in general.
It's ok. Kid has more money now than 99% of the poker world will pbb have (myself included, before haters start using that silly argument) and can maybe actually become good at poker. It's just silly to think he even played remotely close to solid/good
Also have to say I really liked the way Beckley composed himself through the ft, he didn't show much/any nerves at all, and afaik didn't give away any live tells. So props for his demeanour.
^^ beckley was only composed because he was always playing for that pay jump, its easy to relax when you are waiting on ONLY PLAYING AA,KK, I would have bet money he folds Qs to any player capabile of knocking him out/down to last few chips in hand.
Got to give props to stern even after I blasted him for some bad plays leading upto the F.T. (but he killed my fellow countryman with 108s v Qs) atleast he tried to go get some chips & also a big well done to blumenfield for reaching 3rd, his inexperience may have let him down but nearly 4mil is a good time to bow out, also now he will be more willing to play the POKERSSSSS!!!. So some free money outthere for the pro's lol.
Its just a pity for the viewers that the money was so harsh in the lower payout spots, imo if the prizes were better distributed I think we would have seen a better(or even) A BATTLE.
TBH If I was at the F.T with the way these top spots paid I would have done the same until 3-4handed. And I think most would have too.
