There's some Germans who might disagree.

I think the reason why a lot these great online guys jump into bigger games and seem to do fine (in tourneys, cash games take more work imo) is because they have there strategy mastered. If you are confident that you are making the right play you'll be less nervous. I would think most of these guys have played live and while they may not perfect in this avenue. The overwhelming experience they have in certain spots should make up for that quite a bit.

Not speculation. A lot of the pros have said in interviews that it would be completely crazy for a pro to be putting more than 150k$ in this. We already know negreanu is selling 50% of his own action. The only pro who's putting the whole million from his own pocket is Ivey.

Plz tell me the name of one pro who you think is playing for more than 20% of himself ?

given huge rake and tough field, im pretty sure that noone in there can actually have better than break-even-ish ev in the tournament, they are mostly playing for added value of being famous/sponsored.

And, obv, if anyone could have an edge in this tournament, it would be the germans.

There is a market on Betfair for this event if anyone's interested

Go (betfair.com) All Sports>Poker>One Drop. Only £3,500 matched on it, but might be interesting to watch and follow.
Also 2 bookmakers have odds http://www.oddschecker.com/poker/all...ne-drop/winner

Even so, why does he do everything by proxy? He has all of these tales of poker achievements but he never actually does anything in public.

We should have crowd funded the entry to this event so Elixx Powers could play…it would be Epic...

I'll toss a redbird behind this. See my trusted listing under people PSU Mike owes money to. Have Skrill. Willing to trade Mitsubishis and backstage passes to meet Steve Aoki at EDF.
