2013 VIKTOR BLOM aka Isildur1 Thread - Poker News

Hey, can someone create an Official 2013 Viktor Blom thread? Not because I want to minimize or move any discussion from here to there but we have a 2011 one and I'm guessing it's better to start off this year with a thread in hopes we'll have lots to talk about.

As of HSDB's most recent refresh of his session today, Isildur is up $1.35 million this year. Can the upswing continue and get him out of the red lifetime on FTP, or will he lose it back again?

Will Viktor defend his PCA $100k title tomorrow?

It will be a great year either way, hang on to your seats railbirds!

i was thinking FT won't pay his way... or legally can't. A big disagreement.. he gets pissed and says fine.. i won't go then.
It costs a lot of money.. i guess a maybe 1/4 million to stay and play the high roller stuff..

I don't understand why Blom wouldn't be permitted to play. If not, does that mean he's unable to participate in EPTs, APPT etc.? I don't think those tours are all that alluring to the young man, but still, it'd make sense to have him there considering he works for a company owned and operated by the Rational Group.

contracts might say anything.. as long as it's legal.
There are many unknowns... Did he leave PS on good terms? Did his value to the company decline..

no point in speculating, but him not defending a title suggests there is something more to this..

I thought he didnt renew his ps contract for obv reasons, and doubt very much that his value to the company declined, he'd be the last player stars or ftp would want to lose and imo would be the 1st player they'd want to sign over anyone else.

Last year Isil was a pokerstarspro and was sponsored for many livetourneys. Now hes a FTpro. What livetourneys are FT sponsoring? Not many as far as I know. Also since when did Isil show a big interest for livetourneys? Hasnt he always shun publicity like the plague?
