why wouldnt they have dealed? They are all seasoned pros in a rough economy. I expect almost everyone does in some way.

How much would you leave to play for after a deal?

If they chopped evenly they would all get over 6 mil. Winner gets about 8.7, 3rd get about 4 as it stands now. With 1 person with over 50% of the chips though I'd imagine a chop would be something like 7/5.5/5.5

well winning the ME makes you marketable for a while, so that's a ton of money right there, though maybe less so for lamb because of the whole US poker situation.

hell if i was any one of these players id agree to an icm chop and play for the bracelet, which is probably worth a few milly at least in endorsements and etc.

nothing stopping them from doing it on their own. i think i know what you're saying, that staszco is the inferior player and the short stack cutting him in would be dumb , but its a huge amount of money with so much luck involved.

also, about the a9 call, i didn't think lamb was wrong. yeah, it was a good read, and yes, he was ahead. but it was too risky 'cause the only hands he was really ahead was a8- and it was long shot. that said, i was rooting for o'dea

if anybody found out they did it behind the scenes, there would be outrage etc(it would kill credibility for the championship, wsop etc as a whole) and im pretty sure its against tournament rules so there would be some major consequences, i might be wrong here but if it isnt in the rules/terms of play of the tourney id be very surprised.

in addition to that: the win is so much more than the money so its impossible to calculate(you get a pokerstars deal most likely worth XXX, interviews, fame etc etc, who would chop? only the most boring/dumb human alive would think only about the money here)
