Stars contacted me a while back regarding a 100k HU PLO event similar to the NL one they recently ran (I haven't played HS PLO in over a year so not sure why) so I'm sure it's this.
I am writing this mail to everyone who has played in our highest PLO games during 2012 because I would like to hear from you regarding a possible All-Star Showdown for PLO. For those of you who don’t know, the All-Star Showdown is a Cash-Game style tournament where the participants play Heads-Up matches over four simultaneous tables. It is rake free, and players have to reveal their real names.
We just recently finished the Hold’em version of this tournament (http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/prom...star-showdown/) and felt that we learned a lot from that experience. The PLO version will be very similar, but we will try to avoid having players at the tables for 17 hours stretches as we did last time around.
So, for now we have a couple of questions. Would you be interested in playing in such a tournament with $100K buyin, and secondly, would April 2013 be a good period for it?

If it is
Railed the NL showdown HARD. PLO 1 would be dreamy.
it's a "tournament" in the true sense of the word, the NL one was first to win 20 buyins and if nobody won after 3000 hands the blindes doubled and then it became first to 10 buyins, maybe when someone is on the verge of winning the dynamics change but other than that it's like a deep stacked cash game (they often got to 200bb deep)
I have a very high bb when it comes to PLO(30/bb over 100k hands) and Im capable of exploiting any opponent once i know his tendencies. So if any runners are looking for a solid horse, Im your man
unfortunatelly i won't be able to help VT with any coverage/etc. at all, since i'm flying to australia on friday for one year. Not gonna have much time for any poker stuff at all
I hope (for you guys) that VT will do another awesome coverage, he's a beast.
this is true but because of the format it wont have the dynamic of 6m/fr tournaments. it will be a lot of hands before they're less than 100bb deep, so should make for some great railing.
