Historically they did. IIRC the big game of $2k/$4k mixed would play $100k cap for PLO and NLHE (presumably those were 500/1k blinds).

almost always. for say 4k/8k it would be around 100k cap. so id say 200k cap for this game. not sure what the blinds would be for a 10k/20k limit but maybe 2k/4k

The big bet cap in mix games is nearly always 10 BB of the limit rounds

It said mixed game 8...which I believe means it can be 8-handed so there isn't any stud games in that mix. Right now they have 40/80 mixed game 7...which is 7 handed

You mean so there aren't any draw games? Because traditionally stud is spread 8 handed. Draw is what is traditionally 6max for triple draw, 7max for single draw.

Always wondered about that. I have heard that High stakes tables don't tip any better than a 2/5. Would like to hear more either way.
08-30-2017 , 11:33 PM
Players might not have small enough change to tip.

Many of those high stakes games tip the dealer at the beginning while paying time [Not sure if they have a time rake procedure at that game]. Dealer can usually expect to get $25 and not much else unless you have a whale in the game. The most skilled dealers [And hottest women] might have the preference of a 2/5 or PLO game game with a bunch of tourists. Some of those high stakes guys aren't the most savory individuals and obviously can get away with snide comments better than the average player.

I dealt the big game, when you deal any game in Bobby's Room and 200/400 and higher after you push the first hand that player who wins pays time for everyone plus $25 tip for the dealer for the half hour. Not everyone will tip though so you better hope someone good is in the game that will "remind" them.
