$1k/$2k Cash game running in Melbourne right now. Will make my way over in a while to see who's in the game!

From Twitter: An AU$1,000/AU$2,000 NLH game just started here at @CrownPoker. If anyone is interested, contact @saintfletcha

well: they said like one or two years ago they would implement something so that people would be able to rail high stakes cash games in Macau. NEVER HAPPENED.
This would be the only thing I guess which would be worth railing. Big games in Vegas ? not sure anymore if anybody is interested in this
02-01-2013 , 02:24 PM
what is that in US doll hairs?
02-01-2013 , 02:26 PM
If the whale in a game like this does not want railing there will be no railing, ever. Nothing 2+2 can do.

I can't think of a single reason why a whale / casual player would permit filming / streaming.

why do you think casual players appear on HSP and others? it's probably not for the small hourly rate they earn from the shows

Some businessmen love the attention, whether they think it'll be good for their business or image (eg: Laliberté) or because they just like being in the spotlights. Others however (probably the majority of businessmen) will avoid the attention. If you're dealing with big contracts you will not want your clients seeing you gambling for millions on TV.

I agree, some businessmen love the attention and the opportunity to get their few hours on television, but there are also a bucket of businessmen who enjoy playing poker but don't want their losses to be made public.

Whether it is paranoia or not is a separate argument, but it could definitely impact business or your image to prospective clients.

any info on players/stacks/whatever? did someone go there and have a look? is it absolutely privat and can't be 'railed' ?

Ivey, Antonius an Co. seem to like to play pretty big when they're downunder

Rounding the world...clever. Always gonna be a 1k/2k+ game running in a country that has fish who worship big names of the game. Better hurry, they aren't gonna be around long and won't see em until the next big series in a year.
