I'm more concerned about the fact that only 10% is going to charity and ex FT pros are playing with stolen money. I hope Andy Beal wins and donates it all. God forbid some FT degenerate or Phil "UB who?" Helmuth wins and just keeps it for there greedy selves after they pay off all their loan sharks.

LOL payout structure discussions!
+1 Its pretty disgusting some of the things these poker players shove under the rug. Oh for the old days when people who had money stolen from them would seek justice.

Love to see Guy win this and it all goes to charity.

From an article on Pocket Fives (!):

Quote:
On July 1 and July 2, WSOP.com will host a live stream of the event, with commentary from David Tuchman, Olivier livb112 Busquet, Justin ZeeJustin Bonomo, Jason JCarver Somerville, Greg "FBT" Mueller, and 2005 WSOP Main Event winner Joe Hachem. Day 1 begins at 1:11pm PT on Sunday, July 1.
There is no wagering (not even final table odds) for OneDrop in Vegas.

In this thread people say that the event will be streamed on wsop.com from the very beginning, but the site itself says that only the final day (July 3rd) will be streamed (http://www.wsop.com/2012/live-video/live-video.asp).

Who was the idiot that set these odds? Chamath is incredibly rich and is a good player. Its worth it to put 1k on all of the "Fish" and try to get a 100k score. SportsBet is going to lose a lot of money.

Rolande De Wolfe 22/1 and Chamath is 100/1. When was the last time DeWolfe had a big score?

And NO PERSON is a 125/1 dog in a 48 person field. SportsBet must enjoy losing money!

isn't there huge juice in those lines? you may be right on the relative valuation though.

i don't see 125/1 dog as being out of line. roughly suggests chance of winning is 0.8% vs. average player at 2%?

funny there is actually only one player whose odds are near that 2% average. seems as though people are perceived shark or fish. no in-between

Edit to say that the entire list of odds is out of whack, not sure who/how they arrived to such conclusions, but there is money to be made off their errors. For some reason i do think de wolfe is going to take this though.

It starts in 2h19 min ?

I'm lost with the timezones (it's already 18h52 in France ), so i guess since i'm in the UTC+1 and Las Vegas is in UTC-7 it will start at 21h11 in France (so in 2h19 right ?)

Thx for the help

Any free streaming btw on espn (paid 4€ for the ME FT streaming last year) ?

Clearly they dont know Paul Phua, that guy is a sick player! Gonna bet on him if he`s still 100-1. Check him out, I think there`s some vids of him out there, clearly knows what he is doing and bluffs when it actually makes sense. Most of the other odds suck btw, especially the ones for the pros.

LOL@Perkins getting 80-1 vs Phua 100-1...

Last edited by Dos; 07-01-2012 at 01:11 PM. Reason: Phua would own this donk so hard in any game...Edit 2: 50 bucks on Phua, tid!

Somehow in the WSJ article on one-drop yesterday there was no mention of the charity element of the tournament, how do they manage to overlook that? The tournament wouldn't exist w/o the charity, such tilt =/

You guys forget that Gus is a very good tournament player, won the superstars invitational (400k tourny vs johnny chan doyle etc.)...etc. Wouldn't shock me if he won.

lol @ bobby baldwin only getting 33:1...guy is a legend

WSOP's Twitter states (within the past 1/2 hour) that it will be streamed today from WSOP.com.

For some reason I thought it was going to be on ESPN3, and I had to jump through hoops and use my neighbor's internet connection to access that and then I realized that it's not being streamed there today.

"He [Guy Laliberte] has cut a deal to have the tournament, which is expected to raise around $5 million for his One Drop water nonprofit"

You can get off tilt now...
