chip dumping hu has no effect on anything. wsop would care if it was for a bracelet, but this was just a satellite. and deals are made all the time in wsop events; they just can't be openly discussed at the table or enforced by the rio.

Does anyone know which satellite seat is which? Is Helmuth with Elky and Mercier, or Negraneu and Mizrachi?

Pretty sure not a single player in the entire one drop tournament cares about what Deeb and Hansen did, so why someone not even in the tourney would care is beyond me

Of course there is no way to stop deals, whether obvious or not, in any kind of event. But I do think this tweeter has a point in the second part of his tweet - Especially as the entire thing is going to be covered by cameras, it will be interesting to see how the inevitable deals and arrangements are going to play out. I don't think the WSOP are going to want to keep having unscheduled breaks every time there is a significant pot.

very true but it was very childish of Deeb to say in a interview what they did.

How can someone even as good as Phil Ivey be getting 12/1 in 48 person sit n go??? No one is THAT good...

Also, LOL @ Gus Hansen being one of the favorites to win...

really?

The 2nd last hand he pushed all in but for one chip, then folded on the flop. Right after an "unscheduled break".

Do you really think it was childish for him to admit what was 100% clear to everybody - that they made a deal for Gus to play the event?

Furthermore his comments were more than gracious - he basically said Gus has a much better chance than he does in this type of event, so logically he should play. What was the childish part?

OT
