Big One for ONEDROP structure

Big One for ONEDROP Payouts:

1st: $18,346,673
2nd: $10,112,001
3rd: $4,352,000
4th: $2,645,333
5th: $1,834,666
6th: $1,621,333
7th: $1,408,000
8th: $1,237,333
9th: $1,109,333

Schedule is to play 9 or 10 levels today, returning at 12pm Monday (with a STREAMING FEATURE TABLE) in Amazon Blue as the field plays down to the final 8 players. As all tables start eight-handed, it's unclear if they'll play two five-handed tables on the money bubble or play one 10-handed table.

The final table airs on ESPN2 from 4-7pm ET Tuesday, then moves to ESPN at 8pm ET as they play down to a winner. EDIT: Not sure if hole cards will be revealed at the "live" final table Tuesday night.

There will also be an edited 2-hour version of the final table airing on ESPN July 30.

They should pay 8 spots and the payouts should be something like this :

8-1,800,000
7-2,200,000
6-2,750,000
5-3,350,000
4-4,000,000
3-5,500,000
2-7,900,000
1-15,000,000

Total=42,500,000

Crazy pay jump from 3rd to 2nd. Should be an interesting finish if some players who actually understand ICM make the final 4.

Out of the 48 players registered for One Drop now, not counting the 2 satellite winners, and excluding all professional players as well as the 2 Chinese businessmen who regularly play in the highest games in Macau, there are still 16 entrants who are venture capitalists, hedge fund managers, film producer, etc etc etc who are basically "dead money".

So that's $16M of dead money to be spread between the other 32 players.

No wonder all the top players are trying so hard to get in on this... those 16 guys practically have almost no chance of winning and the other 32 players pretty much gets $500,000 in return for buying in $1M.

I doubt many of those guys are even close to completely dead money with 9 spots paying in a 48 person tourney. Some are certainly over -50% roi but that's a far cry from -100% roi.

It can't be a Merge payout structure though because there isn't one pay jump that is randomly less than the last couple before it.

Sick line up.. glad to see that they'll have live streaming for the entire event, not just the FT.

Just to clear a few things up from the other two threads about the deals that were made...

Hansen's 1st place seat is obviously a must play, is Deeb's 2nd place alternate seat a must play?
Also, even though there's already a list of alternates, is he 1st in line?

I'm not sure why Deeb didn't want or try to work the deal in his favor to take the seat.

Regarding the deal that PH made, I understand he wasn't in the tournament, so he's obviously taking the 1st place seat, with 1st - 8th place finishers getting different equity. So what % of himself does he have going into the One Drop if 1st - 8th make up 100%?
