Worst folds of all time? Worst folds of all time?

Jennifer Tilly vs. Patrik Antonius comes to mind (my memory is fuzzy on details, but basically folding a strong full house because she thought he had quads - in a SNG, so presumably not insanely deep?)

But obviously the true worst folds of all times are probably folds which nobody knows about except the person who made them, and even they may not know if they misread their hand.

She didn't fold, she checked back second top boat but was very ridiculous.

Yes, that's right, thank you for refreshing memory. I had forgotten about Ivey's look. Although not a fold, perhaps that check deserves a honorary mention in the rankings.

She did check but for sure would go down as one of the worst played hands ever. That being said I’d probably be scared to bet into PA without the nuts....

Came to post this one but couldn't find it. May have had even less bb. He knew it was bad but spent years making dumb hero folds on TV praying to look like a genius when the other guy flips over blades.

I can't seem to find it but there was a fold that Will Molson made in a tourney that was terrible. If I remember right it left Elky and Scott Seiver baffled when he said what he folded.

He folded a flush draw to a fairly small flop bet.

James Obst main even FT. Runner runnered flush on non paired board raises river I think for value and folds to jam. Pretty sure he busted next.

That whole FT was so bad.
gonna defend the QQ fold given the line a bit and the games at the time--I believe the sequence went UTG raise, UTG +1 3b, UTG calls and makes a poor lead at the rag flop and UTG +1 raises and the entire table can read that yang clearly thinks he has the nuts.

That significantly narrows the range down for what QQ beats.

I'm actually shocked anyone defended the TT fold. You have to be shown JJ in the face to make that fold.

there's some good ones on celebrity poker showdown blinds 1k/2k jeff gordon raises to 5k with rags, gets shoved on for only 600 chips more jeff folds

several times people folded the nuts

Ok, I guess I was a bit too harsh on John Juanda then.

Here's another one:

Doyle Brunson (incorrectly) folding a Ten high flush against Jamie Gold.

Some hours after that, he (correctly) went beserk with AT vs Guy.

Technically speaking not the worst fold, but right up there with the most lol folds I've ever seen:

For sure this.

The worst folds are always in low limit live tournaments where a short stack shoves for 1.2bbs, it folds to the big blind with a 20bb+ stack who hems and haws, asks how much?, counts their chips in anguish, then says "I don't want to double you up" and folds.

Scott and Elky's reaction is priceless. I don't know why you would even tell them what you folded in that spot.

Yeah... that was really bad could be the worst of all time. What positions were you both in and was it close to the money bubble at all ? Remember approximate stack sizes ?

well as you judge him here, how do you view your own play in this hand 11 years later?

I only know what is in the video. It is day 2, so at least a full day away from the money, so no ICM considerations yet.

My shove is meh, but motivated by factors not shown in the video. Throughout the day, there had been several hands, at least 5, maybe as many as 7, where I had raised, Jason had called, and the opponent had 3-bet. Each prior time I happened to be near the bottom of my range, and folded. As such, in this hand, I honestly believed my JJ was well ahead of his range. Add to that the fact that I had him covered, and many players are too risk averse for their entire stack, my shove is fine. When he folded, I assumed it was most likely something like AK, AQ, a few other such hands, or sometimes a smaller pair than my JJ. At no point did I think I was trying to bluff even QQ into folding, let alone KK.

Cheers, Greg Raymer (FossilMan)
