My friend invited me to a home game with a big whale who's bad at poker, but he's never invited me to a game this big before. Is it normal to buy in for thousands of dollars more than 100 BBs, and also that the cash be kept locked in a safe?

We've been playing together at this home game for a while, and it's really fun. Recently I watched a video on card magic, and I learned a trick that's helped me make more money whenever I deal the cards.

I don't want to reveal the secret to the card trick, but nobody's caught on yet, and I'm wondering if I should go to the whale game with that much money. I'm not worried about getting caught, these guys are pretty dumb, but I can make a lot more money playing against this whale as long as I'm dealing the cards.

Is this kind of thing normal? What should I do?

Seems pretty standard, good luck. You should try your luck first and then do the cheating if you can't actually win. It is less risky.
