The new owners seem a little brash and reckless posting the picture with the whores and immediately getting rid of the ads, which are presumably 2+2's main source of revenue.

The main owner has a very sophisticated poker product. I can understand that Mason probably thought they would lead the site in a good direction and would not have sold it to someone he thought would make a mess of it. Also, the purpose of the site was to promote the publishing company.

You see what happened to Stars, which was really well run, but is now still one of the better sites, but not at the same level, and you do get concerned about what could happen.

Yeah, I probably haven't paid attention to an ad in like 30+ years dating back to the old MicroMachines ads.

I don't even know what the audio ads say, I just know that they come on real loud when I'm at the poker table and someone else is in a big hand so I end up just closing tapatalk and using other apps instead.

this is bizarre really because 2+2 really isnt the best way to get better at poker ( although there is gold on this site) and we certianly dont want to be the quora of poker as it directly hurts our win rates ( in thoery but not really assuming someone actually gets better ) , no offense i love this site but i think this will be a blunder to buy it and change it , if fun players do show up they wont interact well with the crowd on here , almost certainly and instantly anyone with knowledge would migrate somewhere else im guessing . with a bunch of new users i can only see it ( every forum ) turning into the worst that BBV had to offer ( maybe me) , how else could it go?

maybe a recommendation would be somehow having a forum for the older users to access that would be isolated to keep some of the knowledgeable users on here.

I've noticed some members expressed concern about the quality of our intro photo. Obviously, It hasn't been done by a professional photographer. The reason is simple, we live in different countries and there aren't too many photos of us together. But that day was a rare occasion when we got together, took our wives with us, and went to an island. We made a great memory out of it, which we wanted to share with the community.

I didn't make any comment about the photo but my explanation of some of those that did is that when people are able to be anonymous they often post the first thing that enters their mind, whereas when they are in a real life situation and are not anonymous, they're more guarded and usually have to think a little first. Also I've noticed that there is a tendency online to assume the worse, probably because you can usually get away with assuming the worse when you're anonymous. Whereas in real life, assuming the worse can get you fired or cause you to lose friends.
