The problem with 2+2 is not enough moderation, not too much moderation. By moderation, I do not mean banning people.

We need to set a line on when one of the new owners will execute their own first ban or temp-ban.

Muy interesante. Mason & crew did a great job remaining relevant through the ebbs & flows of the past 2 decades. Wish best of luck and would advise leaning on them for advice as much as possible. Unbanning all the scammers & users with questionable intent would be a tough ground to start this new chapter from. For example, I lost my old password and am re-joining in able to just transfer funds on the marketplace. Since this name has little credibility I will likely be sending 1st. If banned users are allowed back in that leads to a lot of concern for someone in my position whereas normally I could do research & setup a transfer structure where I’m comfortable with the risk being taken and reengaging with the community here.

I hope the new owners have a solid plan and wish them luck. Buying a website with one of the worst user bases, that loses money, and which has been riding on good will from over a decade ago, while removing the income stream and without plans to funnel sales towards their own product seems like a decision Landon would make!

That said 2p2 could be great again if it became a hub for content creators / consumers, strategy, and free thinking discussion. All three areas the forum disincentives currently which could ne changed easily with strategy and technology.

The mods are essential to the quality of discourse on 2+2, in my opinion. Pretty much why it was invented I thought.

Actually I think the best possible scenario is that they bought it on a whim and don't care if it makes a profit.
