Yea the guy is a clown. Anytime he is winning $300 or more in a cash game he tweets a picture of his stack along with amazing commentary like "Been setting the guy up all session and then finally got him to shove his middle set into my top set, owned again by the sharkkk"

The best way to set up a cheating team is to spend 1000 hours learning a perfect false shuffle to set a deck then talking loudly at the table about it in a foreign language so the floor is called. This is exactly how it would happen.

Its also obvious that a sophisticated mechanic and associates would take a job at venetian for a months long hustle to get $1000 from some roid rage moron and not set up shop to smash a bad beat jackpot for 200K in one hand.

Spoiler:
real cheating teams always hit the BBJ

Except for the fact that this is completely wrong and utterly ridiculous. How could a team of people be hitting BBJ as professionals? You would constantly need to bring in someone with a new face to win the next jackpot, so your team would have to constantly be getting bigger which exposes you to more liability and increases the likelihood of someone opening their mouth. Going after BBJ would be one of the stupidest things professional mechanics could do. As soon as one person wins multiple jackpots in an area they are going to get shaken down or caught by security. There would literally be way to successfully do what you're suggesting.

I've thought about this a lot recently, Detroit's Motor City BBJ was near $600K before being hit last month.

Have there ever been any cases of mechanics influencing a BBJ hit (alleged or otherwise)? Upon googling all I can find in regards to BBJ scams is skimming from the funds, nothing on mechanics/rigged dealings.

Just another reason to get rid of bbjs imo (granted its down the list, but still, a reason)

You realize you're saying it's more logical for a mechanic/team to deal thousands of games, splitting a few K every few weeks, over the course of years, as opposed to dealing one, perfect hand at a meh room with meh security and funds that casino cares less about?

It would take a lot of work and there's still a lot of risk, but $600K ain't no joke, and people have done crazy things for much, much less.

The Orleans in it's first couple of years had a graveyard floor and dealer that conspired to win the jackpot.

Heh, yea Motor City's recent BBJ was hit 2:30AM. IIRC Palm Beach had a rather large jackpot hit in the early hours of the morning last summer.

Conspiracy confirmed ldo

floor, dealer and player conspired to hit "the gardens" jackpot twice maybe a decade ago. it was a big deal at the casino but im sure they try to keep it super silent.

small hollywood park jackpot caused a player and dealer to get banned from the casino around that time as well. the dealer started hosting his own home game. he was "magic" with the deck.

he also apparently tweeted that he busted the Wynn main with A5 allin on A5x flop and lost when AK rivered a K, got called out on that there wasn't a 5 on the board by someone who was at the table, then blamed his sunglasses and apparently the 5 was actually an 8.

I was at the table with him a few years ago and he played pretty bad, open jamming 25 bigs UTG with KQ, and he also lied about his bustout hand, but I can't remember details. Same kind of thing, not totally fabricated but made in some way that made him look better.
