I am sorry if you did not doubt kevmath. I assumed you knew he is the social media point man for the WSOP. So his info is going to be very accurate.

Anyone here played the Dealer's Choice event before? I haven't, was wondering what the games tend to err toward... i.e. do people mostly stick to NLHE, or is there a good mix?
Yeah very rare to see NLH called, a lot of split-pot draw and stud hi-low regular…one guy at our table called PL 2-7 every round.

So I guess theres a decent chance wsop 2022 will be 6 months after this one.
Covid really shook stuff up.

I played the $500 big 50 in 2019. I'm a rec player and there was enough bad playing on day one (not necessarily bad players) that the reunion should be decent. Day 2 was a different story. I had the WSOP APAC Main event champion 2 seats on my left (Scott Davies). I was table 108, table 109 had Men Nguyen so I count my lucky stars. Day 2 still had plenty of good spots though

I think as a general rule, the fields will be softer in the tournaments around the same time as the smaller buy-in events. Like the $600 Deepstack that will be starting the same day as day two of the Reunion. But it is all pretty dependent.

I can say, I played the $600 deepstack right after or right before the colossus in 2019. On day one I had Lonnie Harwood and Allen Cunningham at my table. But other than that I can only remember one other player that was real good. The table wasn't completely soft but wasn't real difficult either.

I can’t swing that many days off work. I can swing enough time for a 2 or 3 day event, but not five. Otherwise I would.

I was thinking the October 4th $600 deep stack.

Wish they put the $3k PLO 6m and $50k PLO event earlier in the series instead of after the Main Event ends

What happens when the first pineapple hand of the $1K flippament ends in a chop between 2 or more players? Rinse and repeat? Or if the board is the winning hand, entire table rinse/repeat?

The Flip.

Do they wait for everyone to be seated? What happens if registered George shows up late?

Why do they have a "Reg Closes" set at 12 levels? Does that mean you can buy into Day 2 for $10K (assuming day 1 tables are 10 handed)?

Place is full. "Shuffle up and deal". 10 minutes later a mass exodus. 'Misery loves company' but this is over the top.

Or do they run it like SnG's? ie, when they have 10 bodies, run the flip. Rinse, repeat for however long the session is to last?

Agreed. Same with the Big Bet Mix.

I usually get an Airbnb and rent a car or Uber around, but I think this time I'll just stay in the Rio for the first time.

Not sure about that, but still should be an order of discarding you may want them to keep one card and not the other.

tentatively scheduled for the last weekend of October, I would imagine this year will full of players. Thinking I will do the colossus not sure if flight A on Friday or B on Saturday is best?

First time in Vegas, several cashes in the past 5 years or so but not never in a WSOP, went deep once on a circuit event when they stopped the multiple re buys every flight.

Should be a good event though.

Golden Nugget poker room informed me they’d be running the Grand tournament series from September 28th-October 18th. Full schedule expected to be released in early July.

I’m sure they will but the cheap buy in price point will appeal to the recs who are there for WSOP’s Reunion and other low buy in events.

They will not wait for everyone to be seated, it will run as SnG.
So for 12 levels the clock will run but levels will be meaningless!
The winners of each flip will advance to day 2 that will restart from level 13.
They will have 2 flight on the first day ( OCT 10) and will allow one re-entry per flight.
-- At least that's what @WSOP answered on twitter when asked about that.
