Two countries with one thing in common - less than optimal leadership on Covid. I'll leave it at that, as we're getting fairly off-topic.

That's a rather silly conclusion, given that masks have never been suggested as 100% effective at prevention. I hope she recovered OK.

I consider myself an common coventional WSOP attendant. Meaning I travel from some distance, stay for about a week to 10 days, and play in 2-4 events.
Having the schedule out IN COMPLETION ASAP is very important, and will be this year more than ever.
Releasing a partial schedule does nothing for me, I need to schedule the maximum events for the days I will be in Vegas,in my price range and type, which is NL Hold Em for me.
In plannng the flight and hotel it is imperative for player like me to have this information. I simply cannot book a 10 day time span now, then find out that it's a high roller or Heads up heavy schedule that week.
I really hope they release the whole schedule soon as they will have more players coming the sooner it is released. Flights and hotel rooms will only go up as we move closer to the start date. Waiting much longer to release the schedule will not bring in more runners but rather likley negate them from traveling if rooms and flights become an issue.

Also eagerly awaiting the schedule, though I've already made a tentative booking and will probably just roll with it and make it work. Hotel rates for the WSOP are a horror show right now BTW. Looking at a 70% increase over what I paid 2-3 years ago. Pent up demand or just resorts gouging people? Not sure, but it's looking steep.

Weekend rooms in Vegas just went way up in price in the last couple of weeks

Hotel room prices are going to be insane. Conventions are back. Festivals like EDC will be going on. NFL games. The list goes on.

I'm getting very annoyed that they haven't released the full WSOP schedule yet.

I'm trying to figure out which days I want to ask off for October, and this delay is impacting my ability to get the time off to go play.

cant even imagine the logistics headaches for this right now regarding staffing. Now you have hotel problems. $49 hotel rooms of yesteryear allow for much wider audience than where rates look to be heading.

If I were doing it I would go very very light on the schedule.

Fewer events that are full, better than lots of events less full.

Buy yeah, where do you even start with staffing?

Very good point. I saw in March that Nevada was not considering ending the federal unemployment bonus. I'm not sure if that has changed yet or not, but that could add to the difficulty of getting dealers.

Only Red states ended the bonus. It all ends in early September anyway.

I waited too long now the only time I can get vacation off work to go is Mon the 18th thru Friday the 22. I mean there cant be a "bad" time to go to Vegas during the Series but probably not ideal.

I'd have to think 'The Reunion' would be at the $500 buy-in level.

I expect the long nightmare of waiting for a schedule will finally be over by June 15th, fingers crossed.

Insider knowledge or wishful thinking?

Wow, your first post in 9 years and only your 2nd post ever. I always find it cool to see these types of gaps. Kind of like finding a US banknote with 8 repeating numbers. Best.

I hope so. I’d like to see when each event is so I can plan which ones I will play in and win.

I don't think they can release a schedule (with guarantees) until they know whether Europeans are gonna be able to attend. The overlays would be insane.

Guarantees shouldn't be an issue, they haven't done them in the past anyway except for a handful events.

Getting enough dealers for the WSOP may be a serious problem.

Las Vegas poker rooms are very busy right now. But, waiting lists are very long and rooms have empty tables because there aren't enough dealers working.

Any idea how much dealers typically make during the WSOP ? I'm assuming because of the shortage of dealers, they will get paid even more this year. I may consider flying to Vegas to deal for a couple months .
