Sometimes killing off one of the name stars is the plot device allows a movie to get to the point. In Kiss of Death (1995) , Helen Hunt is bumped off in the plot pretty early, getting to the main macho theme of the movie: that David Caruso cannot act and has no big screen presence opposite anyone of real star caliber, especially a scenary-chewing, buffed-out psycho Nicholas Cage or a facially-challenged Samuel Jackson.... a gimmick replayed in the later Xander Cage XXX movies opposite another non-actor, Vin Diesel.

And that's how I helped finance a Hollywood film!
good.
I love when seat hoppers get what they deserve.

Are you ****ing kidding me? They killed him off in the first 10 minutes of the movie because the director couldn't work with him. His death wasn't "honorable", whatever tf that means. It wasn't a bad movie but they heavily advertised Seagal and he was a super trivial part of the movie.

LOL you couldn't be more right about the clowny nit who had AQss vs Randall's 64ss all in pre. I was there with Randall getting ready to play a bigger PLO game and witnessed the entire hand, plus have played w/ mr. AQss a bunch at smaller stakes while waiting for bigger games. Watching Randall bust him and then completely berate him was one of the funniest, most satisfying things I've ever experienced at a live poker game. He flopped two pair, slow rolled the ever living you know what out of mr. lecture the bad players nit and then told him to get on his bike back to the atm for more money. Harrah's Poker Guy was crushed! Sad!

I guess Randall wins those spots a lot, because it wasn't at Harrahs and he didn't berate / slowroll me.

Later on when he moved to PLO he was playing wild and screaming "I LOVE POKER!!!" across the room.. Seemed like a fun enough guy but I don't know his other reputation points.

A lot of posters in this thread are embarrassing themselves, exposing their lack of knowledge on how things work

If somebody in this sphere wants some kick-ass PR, then ok. They'll know the best way to get that done pretty soon. The bar in entertainment is low. & ppl wanna see something fresh. Alright. If you don't understand this post, move on. Cheers 🎩
Executive Decision kicks you know what. Unfortunately, it seems like it has become soo underrated in movie history. Snobbish award ceremonies don't give these movies and their actors their due. There should be separate category in Academy for "Most Fun" Actor and Kurt Russell (NOT Segall) would have taken that award over several years. Tombstone HELLO.

I remember having the same reaction in the theatre, but did not resent it much. It was a simpler time, before Game of Thrones has me ready to be p o'd at the drop of a hat.
