I got this email today in the morning out of the blue. I have never applied or wanted any staking. This looks like a scam to me to install something to see a persons screen. Just posting this here to protect others. Here is the email I recieved.

Nice. The logic fail of that request easily trumps the spelling/grammar though.

I got this exact same e-mail yesterday and forwarded it to a mod here on 2+2 who said he would take care of it.

I e-mailed the guy even(to find more info about his potential scam) and told him I had trouble finding the site, this was his response to me:

Hi, you told me you had a problem.

Try to load website www.*********.com and let it load a couple of
seconds becuase of the system is little bit slow atm. And the press run
on the popup so you get to the register direct. If you dont do that it
will not be register becuase of the spamrisk.

Get back to me after you try that.

Dont forget write Soy+username

Regards

David Winslow

www.*********.com

Seems he definitely wants to load a keylogger or get some personal info I dunno, it's very sketchy though. I only blocked the site because I saw it was blocked in op. Shouldn't we be showing people this site so they know to watchout for it? I just don't think filtering it is the best idea, are people still stupid enough to go there if they've been warned? Stupid question lol?

Hi, my name is David and im 33 years old. I want to stake you up to $1k if you feel you can handle it. Need to know first whats your goals are and how you think this will be a good deal for us both.
I stake cashgame SNG and MTT.
Staking begins as soon you are ready.
You can also visit our website http://www.********.com/
Dont forgett to press OK on the popup so you will be able to login or register on our site, or else the site will think you are a spammer and wont accept you.

Looking forward to hear back from you.

The reason for the filter is to break any links or email address spam on the entire site. Doesn't matter what the site name is, no one should load any software off an unfamiliar site.

Ye I got the same e-mail.
12-22-2011 , 02:42 PM
But what if he was serious??? Everyone may have just missed out on a good opportunity to get staked.
12-22-2011 , 02:53 PM
Wish these scammers could be put in prison.

He's in contact with our advertising department right now. At this point it looks like he just made some typical spam transactions. We have no reason to believe he's a scammer.

This scam was hardest most to spot. I am thankful undergod that you have furnished me with this information. Blessings of the day to you.
