So according to this blog Stars 100% knew from the beginning of 2015 exactly what they would do to the SNE and other statuses on Jan 1, 2016. And still they chose not to reveal any of that before the end of 2015 and even then it was some leaked Russian thing. Sketchy as ****. I thought that they had been panicking about their stock going down and this was some hasty revival attempt but they really have been full-on cheating their big rakers for the entire year in hopes of getting as many rake dollars from SNE pursuits as possible. ****ing incredible.


No panic though, Stars has fixed it all by having four quarterly freerolls apparently. Bet the SNEs are happy at the chance to participate in four open-to-everyone tournaments with 4254258246 players. Lol Stars.

Yes, I am sure all this money will move over to cash games and other tournaments. All the fish are absolutely brainless individuals and are pretty much guaranteed to sit down at tables and lose all the money back and not withdraw it.

afaik, they were taking them out next year so they're essentially just bringing them back for one more year.

No, this is exactly what they are doing believe it or not, this is not a new promotion its a modification of an existing promotion. For those who do not know stars has run a quarterly VIP freeroll for supernovas and higher with a 1 mill prizepool.

Now I do not think its necessarily a bad decision for stars to change the promotion so all players can enter the freeroll however, the fact that they present it as a new promotion is disgraceful and clearly intentionally deceptive.

Well I'll be playing in 4 tournaments on pokerstars next year. That's 4 more then I thought I would.

The yeah but a free tournament ( if that's what transpires ) with 500k people or whatever, yeeee haaaa ship that $2 equity...
