Well they responded just now. To clarify to you guys, when I started the new program, the bar was already half filled, so I think they are converting points that way instead of directly to starcoins.

But at least they did credit me with the correspondent starcoins to my gold bar, probably because I sent the mail.

Where do you live fish? Are you talking about last month when it came out or did it release today for some people?

In Portugal. It came out today without them having set a date for it.

Just write to their support and get more reliable source of info.. rather than asking here

If you try to criticize Poker Stars in any way on Discord you'd get banned from posting almost immediately Such a nice place. Oh well they can s uck it. Thank you for making my decision to withdraw very easy,i was on a fence before - not anymore.

You can't really be surprised though. They want recs to tell badbeat stories instead of regs bashing the new crapshow called chests etc. Same thing with the twitch channel. Say anything negative about some stars 'pro' and instaban.

Are people being banned from Stars' Discord for constructive criticism and compromise suggestions too?

There's no point in wasting time on persuading Stars' staff to cancel the new VIP program - a lot of time has been spent on its development, and they're not going to dismiss it unless and until they see its negative impact on their Q3-Q4 revenue.

I honestly believe the new chest reward program would have been genius if it returned around 15-20% rake. Even the fish won't be thrilled when the average chest they open is 20 cents and 50 starcoins.

^ agreed. If they combined the chest program with decent rakeback it could have been a universal success.

Right, that's what I'd like to see too. That would help the company grow the gambling economy fast instead of just cutting costs, if only it weren't in such large debt.

I don't. I think it's a perfect example of stars not understanding or losing touch with exact part of their customer base they are trying to appeal to.

For the regs or any player who is mostly interested in profit or EV, it really doesn't matter, they'll hit volume targets, open chests or click start in the challenge window. They will engage in the VIP program in anyway necessary to get the reward or rakeback.

The casual? Pokerstars noticed a while ago that a significant part of this group were not engaging in the VIP program, often falling just short of achieving higher VIP statuses and improved rewards. This is why they introduced steps. Why were these people not interested? The most obvious reason why these people did not engage in the VIP program is that they just wanted to play poker nothing else, that's why they were on a poker site.

I think a very small number of people will have any interest in this and most of those will be down to the novelty.

The first step is also very very high for 1/2 players. You need to put in way more volume than most casual players will ever put in /month.

I think this is one of the biggest flaws in the vip program. Both this step thing as well as vpp program.

I'm chasing it, twice a day, each time for 7 starcoins. Best return on investment of starcoins I ever had :-)

lol, 14 starcoins a day for approx 0,5$ , that's 35$ for 1000 starcoins. Definetely beats cash rebates

Wow, this srsly got to a point where ppl judge the profitability of a game with an unknown payout distribution based on the twice a day mini-bet of a random user. Oh yeah, amaya is certainly gonna give u a higher ev on that bet than if u buy cash bonus with it, that's a valid assumption, they probably just dislike money.

If enough ppl are thinking on the same level about chests and reg-outflow/rec-inflow covers the increased rake, this thing might even work out as long as liquidity isn't completely ****ed.

He's talking about playing twice per day for the jackpot share. It's profitable because you're only playing twice per day, others dump all their StarsCoins in.

yes, I actually do the same (when I remember to); I just doubt its +ev, its not like someone jacks the pot everyday
