In all fairness your website did report a 4th hand rumor as if it was credible a short time ago. FWIW I dont think the screen shot is doctored but its obvious you still want clicks.

Without mentioning other differences between the photo and the screenshots. Yup, in 8 years of writing content on the falling poker industry makes Pokerfuse cannot even hire a higher level writer.

As per PA regulations sites have to include the branding of the land based casino associated with the operator (in this case Poker Stats + Mount Airy, this accounts for the difference in the way the logos are laid out and why it's different than row and nj.

I agree with you that + Mount Airy is reasonable, but why the PS logo will be changed?

One reason might be that they haven't completed detailing the new PA site.

I agree that they haven't completed detailing the new PA site, even for the logo and layouts, which was not clearly stated in the news by PokerFuse. That means it will take far more days to launch than what PokerFuse expected.

Worse still, when I read the article, I felt like the pending launch will be almost there in a couple of days and I can not wait to refresh and read the other articles by PokerFuse:

As a result of our sleuthing, we have obtained some details about the PokerStars offering in Pennsylvania that we expect to be a part of the pending launch, including which games will be offered and the available stakes, a portion of the potential MTT schedule and more which will be revealed in upcoming articles.
So here is the question: Does it make sense that the decision of which games will be offered will come out earlier than the final decision of logo and layouts?

You are assuming the logo is not finalized. Why? I already mentioned that as per law the sites have to incorporate site name + parent casino into them. It makes perfect sense that the logo would be sized smaller in order to fit all of the necessary branding.

Here's a Sept. 12th article by Alex Weldon for OPR. It references the Pokerfuse writeup and PA pre-launch images.

Does the goalpost shifting mean you're retracting your claim that PokerFuse Photoshopped the image?

Yes, it makes perfect sense to resize the 2:6 logo to 4:3 logo, but let me ask you which one of the following 4:3 logos will Pokerstars more likely to use in the software according to the 2:6 logo used in PokerstarsNJ and Pokerstars?

4:3 logo used in PokerFuse:

4:3 logo found on the web:

I haven't any claims yet, and I don't think there is any contradiction among my posts.

You're right, my apologies. You just said "looks like".

To me, it looks like you're using the words "looks like" so you can attempt to make PF look bad while being able to hide behind your choice of words.

I never suggested there was. I said you were goalpost shifting - moving your critique from "looks like" a Photoshop to the article itself. But it seems you haven't given up on the Photoshop nonsense yet, so I suppose you've only expanded your goalposts so far.

Carry on, this thread can really benefit from your detective work. There could be a lot of possible explanations for the logo not looking like you expect it would, but we need this one thoroughly explored, as it's the most likely, amirite?

NJ, DE, and NV all don’t allow them. The clients do not save hand histories.
I assume PokerStars PA will provide real-time hand histories that work with all standard HUD/tracking software just like PokerStars NJ does.

Eh, can't keep up with all this "sleuthing" and the accusations. I can tell you that PS have a new logo (the flatter looking one, with monotone text and a flat red spade; vs the white-to-gray gradient text and embossed red spade) as part of a rebranding they are doing.

That hasn't deployed to all (many/any? haven't checked) clients yet, but it is present in the pre-release PA client we've seen. You will also see it on, for example, pokerstars.uk and pokerstarsblog.com, also on starsgroup.com. Not sure if that helps explains your confusion.

Fwiw, we have correctly reported exclusively ahead of time, often with screenshots, weeks or months in advance:

- The Switzerland client
- The India client
- Split Hold'em
- Fusion
- Showtime Hold'em
- Unfold
- 6+ Hold'em
- All-in cashout feature
- The KO Poker rebrand
- UFC Spins rebrand

That's all from the last 2 years.

Still, you can choose not to believe we've seen a copy of the Pennsylvania client, if you like. I don't really mind.

Benny - actually on reflection, you've spotted something quite interesting. I think PS PA could be the first client to use the new branding. I've done a quick check and all the current clients use the older gradient text. Good spot :-)

NJ doesnt have 4 tables max, so I doubt PA will. Chests offer some rakeback, around 17%. Once WSOP arrives they will have over 30% rakeback.

I'd take these two sites over the existing ones I play at Bovada, BetOnline anyday.

So, any comments on timing?

Sitting home alone tonight, would be fun to play some online! Come on PA!

I have money to give away!

Optimistic guess would be end of this month or sometime next month.

In the mean time you got WPN, Bovada/Ignition, Global or BOL.

I would rank in that order.

Bobby, I waited this long.

Given my work, I don't ever want any problems playing on underground not state legal site. Frankly, I would be happier with Federally legal, but I'm okay when PA gets approved games regulated and taxes paid to the state.
