I asked a simple question. Should real information that impacts peoples decisions to play or not play a tournament/ cancel a tournament not be discussed? I mean really....... it's not like this is a forum for little kids, we're all adults and should be capable of ignoring stupid posts that aren't based in reality. You're aware "trusting the science" means trusting the scientific method which is questioning the science or they didn't teach that at 2+2 mod school?

The vaccinated may have similar viral load if they catch covid, but they still catch even delta covid at a much lower rate than the unvaccinated. So no the vaccinated don't spread covid at the same rate as unvaccinated, because they're far less likely to have covid.

The rules are relatively straightforward and should be simple to follow. They had to be put in place / reiterated to keep the thread civil.

You get banned there faster than NVG. I was asking for clarification because the wording used makes it seem like factual things worth discussing can't be posted because they may "seem" anti vax etc, when they may not actually be. Being anti vax and discussing the merits of new information being presented aren't quite the same. Happy to follow the rules, but they're not very clear.

I'd also like clarification why I was given 50 points worth of infractions for posting "What's the problem?" in the NVG thread about stars helping a player HU, which seems to be the same opinion as everyone else posting..... 1 mod gives me bans and infractions, that's it. Then comes here and trolls me when I ask about it.

Side not: I come to 2+2 because lots of smart people who think different things and know different things come here and discuss topics, impeding that ruins the site.

I’m not a fan of yours. In fact, I only have two people on my ignore list and you’re one of them.

But I will say that I think you genuinely want to be part of this site still so, if you’ll listen, I’ll offer some advice.

Firstly, you’re free to think whatever you’d like about the mods but insulting them will certainly not end up in getting the result you’re looking for.

Secondly, the “bad posts” I see from you aren’t just about disagreeing with people. It’s the way you disagree. I have yet to see a post of yours where it’s a civil disagreement without insults and/or passive aggressive comments. I’m guilty of that as well from time to time as are most people here. But yours seem to be constant.

It would help if maybe you took some time to breathe and relax before submitting a post. Write it all out as emotionally as you want, then take a step back and disconnect the emotion from it. Then you can change the post before submitting it to make it less emotional and/or insulting.

Again, I know I’m guilty of the same thing but that’s how I’ve been trying to fix my posts. I’m genuinely trying to help you out here so I hope you don’t take this as an insult.

Over the last few years, NVG has been lightly moderated (even lighter than in the past). I would guess that less than a handful of posters were perma-banned during that time frame. That's not to say that people did not receive infractions (which are basically token warnings) or short temp-bans (which are basically more serious warnings). Infractions and temp-bans are issued reluctantly and often belatedly and only when the mods are trying to do what is in the best interests of the community.

Of course everyone, including mods, wants NVG to be a thriving community with many posters contributing to many thriving threads. This includes new posters as well as regulars.

Umn, on August 16th at around 2:00-2:30 pm est , I made a reply in the high stakes poker spoiler thread that was posted initially as #1852 responding to Ivey No. 1 Fan (something of that name). His quote (#1851) mentioned having to sign up for PokerGo in order to see his favorite players on the new high stakes show. I responded you do NOT have to sign up to PokerGo. You can get the channel for free on Pluto tv app. He responded as simply saying thanks among some other brief words as post #1853.

Point is why were these posts deleted from thread? For the life of me, that post of mine along with his followup response were there earlier but a few hours later upon revisiting the thread, I do NOT see them there anymore. (Posts #1852 and #1853 are different from aforementioned) Why? What did I miss? I may be crazy but I am not that crazy (yet).

I'll take a guess that a mod thought that the Pluto TV app was an illegal way of circumventing PokerGo's fees (assuming they charge?). I had no idea what Pluto TV was until I Googled it - looks like it may be legit, but I'm not certain.

But that's just my guess. I'm sure an actual NVG mod will pop in and shed some light on this at some point.

Pluto app if free and on my Cox cable box. There is a bunch of channels but I never use it. You can watch re-runs of the show cops on it still when that has been banned elsewhere. lol

You don't have to guess. I am not a huge techie or anything but for sure, Pluto TV (I am not any affiliate or associated with it in anyway btw) is a legit,free tv app like Znyga is a free poker app on your phone etc.. They have free channels on there and the bulk of their money comes from advertising. I discovered Pokergo on there myself not too long ago so I was simply helping another since he did not know he could get it that way for free in a perfectly legit manner no doubt.
