the money was what I paid to buy and ship a jar of jelly beans to the UK for a guy who was closest to guessing the number of entrants in the first WSOP mega event (was called colossus I think). dont rem exact amount so I chose $168. RR then anointed me with aforementioned title.

Yeah, all good. Account change histories don't show undertitle changes, but I saw you made a profile change the same day, so my suspicion is that somehow reset you back to a standard undertitle. I don't think that would happen with most profile changes, but the one you made is more significant to your account status, if that makes sense.

Yeah, I didn't want to name the specific change in case you'd rather not have that public for some reason, but that's what I was referring to. An email change triggers a verification email which temporarily changes your user status to "pending verification email" or something like that, and my bet would be that it reset your undertitle. It was the same day, or the day before, you mentioned it.

I post more valuable information on these forums than most people, but cool mods. Avg NVG poster is all dumb posts, I actually post all around the forum with helpful posts.

It was meant to be a Covid discussion as it pertains directly to the WSOP. Not a general Covid discussion. I understand the confusion based on the title change.

Can someone explain to me why the same mod keeps giving me infractions and bans for no reason at all? I posted this in the thread someone made about the moderator from Stars doing a chop and I get a 25 point infraction? Posting "what's the problem?" in reference to Pokerstars alerting a player he is still playing for money is a bad NVG post? So you can come troll me but I can't type 3 words in a NVG thread?

My hands are not totally clean with recent uptick in horrible posts, but is the new mod-lite strategy going to stay with us moving forward or is this just an experiment run amuck?

Some of the most active threads of late have clearly shown how worthless and unreadable NVG will become with changes in mod strategy. If this is the look and feel going forward I suspect a steady decline in clicks as the reasons that many have/had 2+2 on their reading list will dissipate and they will look for other places for their poker info/discussion.

Speaking only for myself (and using your words), the recent uptick in horrible posts has coincided with new ownership. Not saying there is a definite connection, just an observation. Also, the recent lite modding in this forum has also coincided with new ownership. There may be a connection.

New ownership apparently wants fewer bans and less moderation in general on the site, though nothing has been communicated to me along those lines. How that affects NVG remains to be seen.

(This will also be posted in the WSOP thread.)

Mods have discussed the WSOP thread and have confirmed the following rules will be applied (basically these rules apply to all NVG threads):

1. Politics is forbidden

2. Covid-denial is forbidden

3. Anti-vaccine posting is forbidden

4. Posts about Covid are acceptable if the posts pertain to poker/WSOP and if they don't stray into personal attacks or any of the above three forbidden topics.

Also the title of the thread has been changed back to its original title.

Not news to anyone (I hope) but bad posting/posters (which am not totally innocent of) is akin to a weed as the more you have the more it grows spreads,

Just looking at the recent activity in some of the NVG threads, it should be crystal clear to anyone that without active and knowledgeable mods/moderation that 2+2 will soon be over-run with crabgrass and chickweed and thus worthless for any serious discussion about poker or anything else.

If that was the goal of the new owners, than mission accomplished.

Are we allowed to talk about how Dr. Fauci said the vaccinated are capable of spreading covid at the same rate as the unvaccinated or is that not allowed by the 2+2 moderators that have PHD's in the medical field? How about discussing docs directly from the CDC that show the PCR tests were fraudulent and causing false positives and were denied EUA by the FDA for not being able to distinguish between covid and the flu?

Maybe you just stay far away from that thread, that should be best for everyone involved.
