OK, this is partly because I have the following three in a 10-way £500 'who will cash for the most money at the WSOP?' sweep, but which players do we think have had the worst start to the WSOP?

My picks pre-WSOP for a potential £5,000 were:
Negreanu
Selbst
Scott Seiver

And all three have had a nightmare start really...

It's gotta be Ivey and it's not even close. To not even be there and then have Hellmuth win another, he's the biggest loser this WSOP so far.

Doyle said the cash games are too juicy to play tourneys. Ivey and Durrr are prob in Macau balling out in cash games there. I don't think ppl value the bracelets as much anymore. Plus Ivey, Durrr, Antonious, etc were always predominantly cash game players anyways.

Female Poker Players in general.

They have been almost a no show this year, with the participation rate at a decade low at just 3%.

No wins so far, barely any final tables, and their Cash Rate has been abysmal.

Poker for the most part is dead amongst Woman 🚺

I think the biggest disappointment at the wsop this year is the WSOP itself. Bracelets are more common that EPT trophies and WPT titles. Even the cards themselves are a bit of a joke. The trend in poker is essentially a stratification between small buy in massive field tournies and huge buy in small fields populated by elite players with no discernible edge on their competition.

Smaller fields, players being and feeling alienated, too many bracelets, low quality cards. It has taken the WSOP about six years but they have managed to bring to a 10 year low the "most trusted poker brand in the world". I have only played a few events there in the past few years, but this year just feels different. Matt Glantz said that is because the lack of PokerNews...maybe, but the general atmosphere is not an exciting one.

You can add so many things to this list that don't involve an individual player.....

How about the wsop.com software glitching.

Or take away the Colossus field and you have definitive proof attendance is down.

If you ask this to the WSOP itself, the rake has never been better.

Is it really worth discussing a sample size that is probably less than most online MTT grinders have in a single day and with field sizes of every single tournament greater than the sample size?
