Mike has two bracelets in 25 years. Since the boom, he's owed full-tilt 2.5 million before it closed and somehow has people stupid enough to stake him. It's like JRB having mega stakes money. It's so bizarre it's like reality isn't reality.

Why is it bizarre? Him and jrb are well connected in the live poker scene in vegas and its probably just a gamble for the stackers to stake these two. Also they bring entertainment which is important in some live settings. And only because matusow was not the most succesfull tournament player does not mean he did not win huge in private cash games. Who knows?

I mean dont get me wrong i would never invest a cent in any of these two but its not that mind bogling that there are people out there who do.

I remember seeing that at the time and thinking it was kind of funny. Looking back now with all we know about how both their lives turned into complete trainwrecks, I wonder exactly dodged the bullet there.

Would also be hilarious to see them have another date post Trump given they are to put it mildly on opposite ends of the spectrum on that issue.

He is like any other degen poker player that has made money at poker and punted it in the pits. Staking him in numerous poker games is probably not a -ev thing to do whether he is actually any good or not. He isn't broke because he's lost everything at poker.
