Nice Sunday article from the RJ here in Vegas. Can't wait to hear what he's got to say . They sure left a great ending to the article

"Don't think for minute, however, that Lederer is just going to hand the government the keys to the houses and cars.

He reportedly broke his 20-month silence to give an interview to PokerNews.com, which could soon appear on the popular website.

Lederer may still have a few hands to play."

Howard, You are a snake.

According to the Clark County Assessor's Office, he paid $674,000 in 2005 for a 0.43 acre lot on Hawk Ridge Drive and $1.095 million in 2008 for a 1.24 acre lot on nearby Skybird Court.

Between 2007 and 2010, prosecutors said Lederer paid Las Vegas luxury homebuilder Merlin Contracting and Developing more than $10.5 million to construct a 8,892-square-foot home on the Hawk Ridge location and a 4,598- square-foot home, described by the justice department as a "guesthouse," on Skybird Court.

Last week, the Merlin Contracting website still contained a testimonial from Howard and Susan Lederer on the quality of "our dream home."

Hi Everyone:

We've also had some conversations with Howard Lederer this past week. Our tentative plan is to do a follow-up interview with Howard after his PokerNews interview has run. The purpose of our interview will be to address any additional questions that may come up and to address some issues that may not have been covered as completely as possible in his initial interview with Poker News.

So to this end, I ask that everyone who wants to post in this thread do so in a professional manner and keep in mind that this will probably be our best chance to get many questions answered in a timely manner.

Best wishes,
Mason

OK

Howard,
To what do you owe your enormous success?

This along with MANY things makes me question the legitamacy of Poker games in the World Series as well as just every day ring games. The casino rooms are supposed to tell you if there are shills if you ask and always skirt the question to avoid answering. The managers and employees have friends that work as teams together and they do everything to stack the cards against you.... SCAM to say the least
Someone make an account and clue this donk in.

He's gotta be a little more apprehensive to answer Two Plus Two's questions than some softballs from those other guys

Incredibly interested in what he has to say. He clearly seems to think he has something we want to hear.

Done. I guess I have to wait for a moderator review before it shows up.

I'm sure I have oversimplified the nature of Full Tilt's transgressions, but I also only get 250 words. That said, it will probably be a fruitless post to Tony -- if he's stupid enough to make that post, he's either too stupid or too stubborn to understand the real skinny here.

But maybe others who stumble upon this story won't immediately fall into the this-proves-all-poker-is-crooked stance Simms has taken here.

yeah I agree, things aren't always black and white, and it's best if twoplustwo doesn't automatically jump the gun on something and hurt our chances with interacting with big name pros in the future.

@Howard: Why weren't players accounts segregated from operational accounts of the company from day ONE?

This has to be like on page 1 in the book of "how to run a legitimate operation"....easily the first few sentences in that book.

You NEVER co-mingle clients funds with the company's.

Howard, why has it taken so long for you to come out and inform the poker community of any news about the company, the process of selling FTP, and the status of our funds that some based their livelihood upon?

So like, it's been over a year and a half since Black Friday, and I guess this is the first time Lederer's made a public statement, is it?

I think he should definitely follow through with the follow-up interview because it seems like doing one interview might wind up raising more questions in peoples minds than it answers.

Like you know how that can be when you haven't heard from somebody in a long time, and something important's been on your mind.

This plus the other questions above have got to be on Poker News interview. If they aren't then they will have shown themselves to be a softball magazine. Why don't we all wait until we see the interview before posting FOLLOW-UP questions...

Questions for Howard:

*After black friday and you stopped serving US players, but served
ROW, did the company know that there were no funds there? (and people were depositing their $600 into a pace that NEVER had any intention of giving it back)? If so, how and why?

* Did you knowingly keep the companies $$ short ASSUMING that it could be easily replaced thruout time?

*Where were you on black friday and what did you do? And where did you go?

*Did you just trust Ray bitar with $$ or something and not know exactly what was going on before it was too late?

*I know you couldnt publically apoligise or explaim what happened because of lawyers telling you not too but why couldnt you make an announcement saying something like" Im terribly sorry that this happened"This woulda sat well with some people, but just bailing completely is Just low.

I really don't think that we will learn much from these interviews.
Howard will be very evasive when asked any difficult questions, just like a politician does.
He hid away like a fugitive for 18 months, hes not going to come clean now and tell all.

Would love to see some of the higher up guys answer to "Who is to blame for what happened to FTP? Pokerstars got hit by Black Friday in a very similair manner than FTP. Why were the consequences for FTP so much more severe and who or what is responsible for that?"

Very interested in what he has to say

@howard, Did you follow any of the various Full Tilt threads here on 2+2?

Do you really understand what hell your company has put 1000s of players through? Do you empathise?

Mason, I am wondering exactly how much he could say of substance. If I were his lawyer, i'd just tell him to STFU. He's already lost the PR war and anything he'd post here might add to both his civil and penal liability positions with DoJ.
