Poker will keep slowly declining in popularity as the years go by. The boom of the early to late 2000s was incredible, but you are kidding yourself if you think poker will return to that level. Polk said on his recent podcast with Olivier that the new generation of youth he interacts with via non poker gaming, no one plays poker any more. This means there is much less likely a new wave of durrr/galfond/Dang bros, an in multiple decades from now, much less fish to keep the ecosystem afloat.

I do think though that this presents a lucrative short to medium term opportunity for all current winning poker players. Less competition from new blood as the current fish keep swimming around.

2. Therefore, on a fundamental level of understanding, it seems that somehow monetizing this phenomenon would be GTO$

3. Contestants would willingly sign up to enter "the colosseum", while also signing the appropriate legal paperwork beforehand to nullify any potential lawsuits against the proprietors, etc.

Once it's established that there is a "hub", or "hotspot" where ppl are assembling to go head-to-head in direct "roast battles", in whatever poker context that is eventually decided upon, what you will find is a mass focus on that battleground - *thereby greatly reducing the amount of potential damage from established brands infighting within the community*

5. This is an extremely risky & high-difficulty-level concept to execute properly - but if it is implemented w/ the correct strats - the proprietors will print money🎩

You can't dismiss Twitter feuds entirely without also dismissing the appeal (to many) of ppl putting their necks out in public to battle each other. It just draws👀 if it's done right. Pokerbrat v. 2.0. A character that transcends poker. You can't teach that, & everybody will know it as soon as they see it. The persona I've labbed up is this generation's Beethoven. He could care less about being good at the game, but he is the greatest showman on Earth. & he's not shy about letting you know that. Everybody will think it's a pure clown act at first - that is, until the orchestral rock music gets introduced. Then, everybody's minds will be blown.

It'll work wonders. It'll work anywhere. I've got ppl in the film industry that are going to scoop it up - when they blast off. So you guys have a window to get first crack until then.

As is the case with any leaderless group of people, the end result will be the sum of whatever random actions the individual participants do. Its not something that is strategically directed, so this is basically a ******ed premise and probably sheds light on why you said something like "If you're so smart..." football didn't become america's sport because a bunch of football players got together and decided they need to become more entertaining or whatever. the chess streaming boom happened in large part because netflix made queen's gambit.

The simple fact is that live poker is boring unless you're playing with your friends. The boom was lightning in a bottle: perfect storm of joe schmoe winning a huge amount of money, ESPN being in everyone's home and broadcasting WSOP in an entertaining way, and a bunch of fish thinking it's gonna be their next get rich quick scheme (it used to be day trading, and nowadays it's crypto trading, and soon crypto trading will be gone as well).

I'm pretty sick of everyone complaining about grinders wearing hoodies and whatever: the personalities came around because HSP and ESPN catered their broadcasting to focus on the personalities, and for whatever reason, they're not as interested in that anymore. Tom Dwan didn't become a poker celebrity by his own hand, he became a celeb because TV networks saw he was entertaining invited him to be on TV, it's not that hard.

Poker is still quite popular: it's definitely not going the way of bridge or anything. I saw Phil Hellmuth on the TV at the gym yesterday. I recently graduated from college and I ran into so many 20 year-old men who were interested in poker all the time, many of which wanted to play $0.50/$1 with me on Friday nights.

Bunch of 2p2ers aren't gonna make much of an effect one way or another, unless they have someone's ear at Netflix.

Part of this gig is "world building". In my world, of course there are a few poker bosses that run the entire grid. It's like a kingdom. & I can stroll on up & shoot my mouth off, saying, "if you're so smart, why aren't you the biggest thing in the world yet?" Partly because it's true; & also partly because I can back it up. Who does this? Who says things like this? What you guys need is an avatar. A champion. Get all your bean counters in line, configure all of your systems & market exploitations around your one champion avatar - the guy who will roast a crisp anybody who dares to approach him saying "you suck" - & you'll print infinite money. If this verbiage doesn't make sense to you, then you don't understand world building. Every community is not popping off like they should - it's not just poker. We can part Social Media like the Red Sea. We can Move Mountains w/ our clowning. Promote some "nobody" to be a friggin champion & the legend of that will promote itself. Infinite money. How is it possible? You got the meta leader of pop rock hooks - so like the best rock band in the world - backed by a carefully labbed persona, over 20+ years of labbing it up. Who's gonna tell me I suck? Who is qualified? Nobody. Yes. I'm suggesting that you allow me access to your infrastructure, & that you promote me above anybody else. It's like, instead of chasing some stupid naked flush draw on the turn, why not take a punt on the Beethoven Guy & see what entrance he would do, into running the table on a televised game. & add some cartoon music video advertisement midrolls. & you will see the future. & that's one of 25 strats I've developed that would conquer.
