Whatever happens it needs to be taped if they want to reproduce the old show and feel. Would love it if Gabe and AJ came back, but its unlikely. I think Schulman with Ali and Norm would be great especially taped. HSP was as entertaining as it was because it was taped, its impossible to have that high of a production value over a 12 hour time period for anyone including Gabe and AJ. I hated Norm initially, but when I started Youtubing his other material became a fan.

The players where great but his commentary made the show even when it was Gabe only it was Gold. Last season I don't know who replaced him but was very cringe and did not even watch the season.

No Gabe is no HSP it be like another Triton or PAD episode which is great but not HSP

Linus Loeliger needs to be in this one, same with Garrett Adelstein. Loeliger is a very fascinating player, like a new modern Tom Dwan and Adelstein probably the best live cashplayer in the world.

And yeah, Aussie Matt is also very entertaining.

The Ivey hands on High Stakes Poker that really stuck (eg, THAT **** you shove vs. Lex while holding 52o) are unthinkable unless the money is actually yours and you are loaded. Busto Ivey on a stake would probably be a sad parody of his former self. I'd rather not want to see that.

I hope they do the show justice. Simply slapping a HSP logo on a table and bringing in the same players they have on other shows won't cut it for me. Here are my list of essentials:

1. Gabe and AJ, or at least Gabe.
2. A set that DOESN'T look like it's in a studio, instead a set that looks like they've put some cameras in Bobby's Room.
3. 8 max
4. Well edited, exciting hour long episodes. I don't want a 10 hour stream. That's not HSP.
5. Some of the classic players. If they could bring some back out of hiding, like Sammy Farha, that would be epic.

Basically, just make it look like seasons 1-5, and I'll sign it off.

Ivey's results in the last 12 months of MTTs look pretty strong. Obviously there's variance in MTTs and some of his best results came in short deck, but I have a hard time believing that he'd be some massive fish in live NLHE cash.

Live cash games have always been shrouded in mystery because the results typically aren't posted and I'm open to the idea that there could be many cash players who have surpassed Ivey in the last decade, but to act like he'd be woefully out of his depth seems like too severe of an over-correction when he's seemingly still holding his own in the high roller events that he plays.
