The end of the Durrrr/Jungleman duel ?

Jungleman vs Ansky on 7-2 NL 5/10 :

Ansky451: are you and tom playing any time soon
jungleman12: idk
jungleman12: seems like there will be a big hiatus
jungleman12: tom is hard to work with
jungleman12: yeah
jasoneade (Observer): yea, its his terms or no game

Re: The end of the Durrrr/Jungleman duel ?

It's quite normal that a player like Tom Dwan has a busy agenda: there is no way he is quitting his own challenge while he is losing, IMO.

Re: The end of the Durrrr/Jungleman duel ?

Nowadays 'Tom Dwan' or 'durrrr' isn't just a guy that plays online whenever he feels like it, it's also a brand name, Full Tilt probably pays him a large sum of money for that. Apart from playing live or online, his sponsorship money is part of Tom's business, his income. Full Tilt advertizes are using his image, either on TV poker shows or using his challenges to promote FT.

So it's strange that he doesn't approach it more professionally. If he has an agenda, he should put playing that challenge on it. Now it feels like he keeps himself busy with other stuff and then when he's travelling he plugs in his laptop in his hotel room at the end of a busy day to look if jungleman happens to be online.

He should approach it in a more professional way. Or else Howard's gonna call and say "dude that's twice now that you made us announce that challenge bigtime and then you let us down by not playing it. PS snatched Isildur1 and he's playing, you're making FT look like the site that that doesn't deliver, that disappoints the players. We're cutting your allowance by 50% until you finish them both".

Re: The end of the Durrrr/Jungleman duel ?

It's funny that this challenge was originally made for promotion/egoboost etc, but it turned out to be almost the other way, he's getting only negative attention for being the guy who is losing the challenge and avoiding his opponent. (or that's what it looks like to public anyway)

Well, I guess these challenges helped him to get a good deal with FTP.

This is why isildur is so popular, he never steps back and is a stand up viking, while during is a typical talk-to-much american.Durrrr is scared and knows jungleman is better.

$1.5 million is some serious jack. Jungleman should sue durrrr if he keeps dragging his feet.

No need to defend either one of them because both are douchy in their own way and both deserve it.

This is just ludicrous. The ME winner or past winners that have been signed have a monthly salary of 30k. I think whilst Isildur has extreme marketing potential he is certainly not as influential as the ME winner. Someone who ships the main is exposed to a much broader proportion of people with TV and News interviews, live appearances etc increasing their marketing opportunity.

Isuldur is still supposedly and unknown.

In terms of junglemans edge I wouldn't consider Durrrr a massive dog and doubt Tom is running scared. He obviously has a ton of commitments, combined with a social life and girlfriend. When you have as much money as he does playing a challenge like this isn't a number one priority

And even if Tom is a dog as people say he is...he was a dog against isildur1 as well and he never gave up on him...and they played long sessions even when tom was down 5M...

Too much rich businessman fish at the moment are willing to play 2K/4K with Durrrr instead of silly 200/400 imo.

Lol durrrr is busy, or any poker player for that matter. I work and travel 70hrs a week, manage my family and play poker for at least 8 hrs a week, poker players are lazy people.

Yeah, really. durrrr is spending quality time with his girlfriend 16 hrs a day, while jungleman is sitting in front of his computer at parents' house all the time waiting for action and jacking off to some internet porn. What's even worse - this weird dude has some nerve to be upset about The One And Only Super Cool Poker Player And Master Of His Own Magnificient Life not playing HU with him properly for mere several lousy months.

Re: The end of the Durrrr/Jungleman duel ?

How funny would it be if PokerStars pulled the jack moved and signed Jungleman12, and by doing so rendering the durrrr challenge as a waste. By having 2 unfinished challenges in over a year it would be a wrap for the challenge.

And before you say it, Stars could pnoy up the extra $1.5mil he would win by winning the challenge to snatch him up...
