Doug says "Allin, two million" from the bb really quickly. I'm right next to him, he clearly only has like 1.35-1.4m. He has 7 40 stacks of 5k chips. Before I can say anything, the big stack says "2 million?" "Yes." and the big stack folds. Doug then wins with AK v 55. I say something as they're shipping the chips to him and he called me a fat internet loser. Very witty sir. Floors do nothing for the massive angle or the insults after.

Was considering making a new thread about this. This was really really bad tonight, guys. He stole thousands of dollars in equity from people at the table, myself included. He's a total scumbag *******. This was just straight up cheating. After his insulting rant which everyone at the table heard, no one really spoke up or pressed for something to be done and the floors did absolutely nothing besides give a really poorly worded warning for 'no one to do anything like what was done again.'

Doug gets away with this **** time after time after time. It's really not funny when it happens to you in a spot where there's so much money at stake. Shame on Planet Hollywood for not having the guts to do the right thing. Even a ****ing one hand penalty would make me feel better. They did a lot of stupid **** during this tournament but letting someone get away with this is ****ing inexcusable.

It happened very fast, fwiw, all in-stride of the poker hand. And all is true to what Jimmy said, except a bit of this:
Where several said, "WTF Doug, dont you call anyone a nerd here. If anyone at this table should call someone something, it shouldnt be you." and "how many chips you got Doug? <Doug gives some number> Is that <number> or is that amount inflated by 50% always?"

I believe Jimmy was busy talking with the floor when these comments rained down on Doug.

Poker needs a std rule. All chips in stacks of 20.

What we have to all realize, that angles like this are really bad for the game. If Doug is notorious for such angles (note: I dont know him or what that other thread is about), you have to think of how many angles he his shot on recreational players?

He was at a table of educated poker players, and still got away with it. The amount of angles he's won over the recreational players that have gone un-reported must be massive if he's pull this **** off at a final table full of sharp, experienced players.

Such angles need to be policed, and a no-tolerance policy enforced. It will be better for poker in the long run. Most people play for entertainment, such bull **** gives them the opposite experience.

Glad you brought another doug lee classic to life. People, not against just doug, need to be more aware of stack sizes and NEVER trusting what villian says, always get a ****ing confirmation by the dealer.

While I agree that this is an angle, isn't it also the players responsibility to visually confirm or ask the dealer to count it down?

As long as complacent/incompetent TD's refuse to penalize clear angles, nothing will change. Scumbags like doug will always be around, thats why rules are made and are supposed to be enforced.

You could always have the dealer take his chips and put them in the middle of the table and give you a true count.

ppl are just too trusting, buddy who just called the shorties shove obv was assuming doug was telling the truth, making any more time wasted completely stupid and posturing. I can see wanting to keep the game moving but the caller should have 100% confirmed dougs stack w/ dealer and not played the hand like its online speed lol.

Players responsibility to know the chips counts and get count verified by dealer. Not really an angle IMO. If it wasn't Doug I doubt people would make a big deal about it.

The floor needs to start recognizing angles and nailing people for them instead of trying to appease the anglers.

And to everyone stating that you could get a chip count (which we all know but thank you for your almighty wisdom) ignores the issue. There was an angle and all the players were possibly affected by this angle. Not just the big stack who didn't ask for a chip count before folding.

It's all about perception. It is up to whomever the action is on to either count the raise / chips or get a count.

Maybe he thought he had 2 million? Why didn't you ask for an official count?

Youre wrong. He intentionally mis announced his chip count to induce a fold, this is an undebatable angle. Doesnt matter who did it, just doug is notorious for these things. But yeh you should obviously ask for a count if youre not experienced enough to eye up his stack yourself.

Fricke is such good people who wouldn't exaggerate details to gain favor. He's a stand up guy and Doug Lee well has his own infamous thread on here. That says a lot about Lee's character.
