I'm rather surprised he would want his name attached to them... he certainly has a good reputation, WHILE ACR certainly doesn't... I guess the Million Dollar Man was right, "everybody has a price"

either way good luck to him!

ACR seems to be making some good moves recently, hopefully they can keep working on the bot situation.

Chris is cool. I’m happy for him. He’s a big reason why I started gambling.

This isn’t going to do anything to grow poker in America or ROW. New players today had barely been born when Chris won the ME.

I’m not sure how to attract the “young guns” (lol that phrase always cracked me up), but Moneymaker as a pro and Nanonoko as a security adviser doesn’t have the same pull as it did 10 years ago.

I mean hell, I’ve been in poker since 2007 and a decent player on WPN since BF, and I recognized roughly only half of the pros in the intro video; mainly from twitch.

I figured he was still bad at Poker, but at least had some kind of integrity.

I guess I was wrong on both.

U know what they say. If you have nothing nice to say best not to say anything.

He hasnt done a d negs and defended stars robbing supernovas/the higher rake saga . Guy has a family to look after. If acr want him on their team who are we to judge a man who has been offered a deal?

Wish him and his family all the best.

ACR is marketing in the US. Moneymaker has appeal to casuals in the US. He didn't have much value to Stars any more.

Congrats to him! I like Chris more and more.

And you guys stop hating. He only had 3 options I think.
Join GG, party or acr. I thought he would go to gg but acr must have made him a better offer.

Are ya kidding me? So many live fish i know still talk about the High stakes poker days, watching WSOPs and of course Chris moneymaker. If we can get those 2/5 donks on ACR it would be amazing.

ACR seems to be going in the right direction. They are signing big names like Moneymaker and hiring poker pros like Nanonoko to work for them. They are refunding players affected by bots which is better than doing nothing. Hopefully now this will pave the way for better solutions to combat all the bots and cheats. This is obviously great for their brand as well...

I really hope that he used his accounting skills to check their books. If he could make a statement about separated players funds that would be ideal

Anyone playing on an unregulated site should only keep smallish amounts online. ACR works well with Bitcoin, so buy BTC, move some to ACR when you want to play, make monies. Easy game.

Pokerstars are doing fine. They are still the biggest poker site by far. I predict in 10 or 20 years time, they will still be the biggest poker site by far.

Are you having a bad day or something? What's with the hate/jealousy

Glad they keep hiring celebrities and not using the money to fix their crap software, nonexistent support, or fighting bots.

They can't even figure out how to get chat to work, something that was solved 20 years ago.

Chris is a super nice guy and very humble (unlike like grade a dbag Joe Hachem.)
If a site still wants to give him a bunch of money 15 years after he won the main good for him.

So Chris turned down a contract from Stars so he could find greener pastures at... ACR?

Pokerstars isn't exactly run by saints theses days, but just wow at saying "no" to them only to sign with such a shady site. I really have no clue why 90% of all posters in this thread would want to defend such a move.
